Has Duncan gone for good? It seems those scenes with him, Sarah, Keith and Doug in McCoys were his final scenes.

Nice scenes at Dolores' housewarming party tonight. Intruiged as to what this Aoife character is upto. I'm glad Dolores found out, but I doubt it'll be stay secret with her for long. I think if Robert does find out, it would be such a fantastic soap reveal and would be so funny. Robert is classic. Everything is so black and white to him so it would make it twice as good.

Wayne Molloy is one of my favourite characters. What has happened to Justine though? I may have missed her leaving or did she just disappear?

I think the new Doctor is promising - I think they should pair her with Ray as he's just lying idle with Deegan and Jennifer in that apartment. I don't know how true this is, but I heard a rumour that Neasa (remember she had a quick fling with Damien?) is the daughter of Doctor Judith as they have the same surname, or is that just a coincedence?

I loved the heart-to-heart Damien and Suzanne had tonight, although I have a feeling she's starting to have feelings for Louie Gleeson. If that does happen, I wonder what Yvonne will think when she returns at the end of the year - that her ex and sister are an item. I hope they don't split Damien and Suzanne up though. I like the new Mark too.

What has happened with Seamus McAleer? I remember those brilliant episodes with Bill and Annette in the fire and he survived - didn't he? Has he left Carraigstown?”

Has Yvonne gone for good?

As far as I know she returns in December.

Anyone watching at the moment - a storyline about shampoo?! LOL - how embarassing. I could write better stuff than that.

I know this isn't really important or relevant but I was at a party with the guy who plays Doug. Wesley is his name in real life. He's actually really sound, cause I know his character is a bit of a bad boy. He's really funny. I know it probably isn't starstruck moment or anything, but still, just thought I'd say . .

Brilliant episode tonight.

The leaving cert party was well done, although not sure we needed to see the content of Mark's puke, lol at Damien going in, I can see a Suzanne and Louie affair on the cards, nice to see Dean back, liking Dermot a lot recently, and I can see a blossoming romance between Charlie and Esther for sure...

I hope the high standard is maintained and continued on the lead up and across the 21st anniversary episodes...

Why doesn't Damien want to have a child with Suzanne?

I think we saw elements of Damien's father in Damien tonight, when he went for Mark.

Saw Fair City for the first time in a good while last night. I was hooked a few months ago with Yvonne's baby drama but since she left, I kinda lost that need to watch it For me, she makes the show worth watching and I love the way she has so many dimensions to her character and isn't just your token "bitch". Her baby storyline was gripping with the way it involved so many characters; Paul and Niamh, Connie, Louie, Rachel, Bela etc. I think there's great potential in a comeback for her and IMO the show is missing her at the moment, though it was good seeing Damien and Suzanne in her flat last night.

I didn't realise that Yvonne was still in touch with anyone though as I thought she'd burnt all her bridges when she left so it came as a bit of a surprise when Louie said he'd been speaking to her. Does anyone know where she's gone or if/when she's coming back? As I say, I haven't been as regular a viewer since she left

Suzanne has also been in touch with her recently. I think the writers are making sure we don't forget her.

I read an interview, and the actress said she was taking six months off to get back to theatre work. There was no question of her not coming back. That was a few months ago, so I would guess we'll see her before Christmas.

Oh, that's good news! Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing her again and will keep an eye out for her return. I wonder if Connie comes back too?

The new family in Carraigstown, The Dillons, seem to be a great addition to the show.

All really likable characters with a lot of drama brewing already.

What does everyone else think?

I'm liking the Dillons already - lots of drama already and lots coming up it seems.

I like the Dad Tommy especially.

Anyone notice how Wayne and Louie appear in every episode?

Bryan Murray (Bob Charles) is a great actor.

Hey Walford Fantic

Yea Im really enjoying Fair City at the moment and Im hoping the new direction their going in conts.

Im loving the new family. The Dillons are a great addition. Tommy and Judith are great together, great chemistry. Young Zac is fantastic too. He can really act. Im liking Neasa in a hate to love kinda way. The other two sisters Im on the fence at the moment.

But all the family interaction at the moment is great. The Halpin/Doyles, Dillons, Molloys, Faheys, Dowlings and Brennans is all really good and gives Carriagstown more of a community feel.

Hi,
I read in ths week's preview that Bob leaves Carrigstown. Is he leaving the soap for good - I hope not, he's by far the best actor.

I watched Fair City for the first time in ages last night and just a quick question, whose house did the Dillons buy? The last time I watched it the doctor was trying to buy Dolores house but the one they are in looks nothing like it, the kitchen is massive and it has a hall where as in Dolores you walked straight into her front room from the front door, it looks like they bought two house and merged them into one?

So what has everyone thought of the domestic abuse storyline with Damien and Suzanne then? Very powerful scenes IMO and I'm surprised that there hasn't been more discussion of them. Hard to believe Suzanne, once the nicer of the Doyle sisters, has become so wicked as to subject her own husband to such physical and mental torture and the fact that Damien and Mark witnessed it with their own parents makes it all the more poignant. I'm glad Suzanne has finally been caught out and hope she gets her comeuppance soon, look forward to seeing where things go from here.

Once again, Fair City has shown that when it does a good storyline, it does a brilliant storyline.

I think the storyline is being very well done - it's lured me back (for now) and I'd not watched FC regularly for years - but I'd like it to have gone on for even longer before people found out.
The actors that play Damien and Suzanne have been excellent, but the guy who plays Mark is not convincing at all.
What's the age gap supposed to be between Damien and Mark ? Mark only looks about twelve.

Im not a Fair City fan but the domestic abuse storyline has been outstanding and hats off to the writers and actors who have done a great job. It has been a powerful storyline and for the first time ever I watched a whole week of Fair City episodes. Suzanne is such a cow. I hope she gets her comeuppance big time

BUMP!!

Anybody been watching lately? The whole show started losing direction IMO after the Damien/Suzanne story ended (which tbh I think had plenty of mileage left and could have run a while longer, if only for the fact that I thought the whole thing was borderline slapstick and made me chuckle )

But lately its been getting better, Bob Charles returning has given the show a boost and bringin Turlough back in a wheelchair was a stroke of genius. Loved tonight's episode in Niamh's house with all the girls getting drunk, and it made me realise how good an actress Niamh is, she played being drunk well. Anyone agree?

Yvonne Doyle is one of soap's best superbitchs played by an excellent actress.

I was really enjoying Fair City but the Bob/Turlough story isn't grabbing my attention at all... I think Bryan Murray is just a bit too hammy in FC - he was great in Brookside and everything else he's done, but I can't stand him here.

I hadn't even caught a glimpse of the show in months - I didn't even know Turlough was back - yet somehow, of all the episodes, I ended up catching the last five minutes of this one I didn't even see what happened, but it was totally gross. The shard in the back of his neck made my stomach turn.

On a related note, the actor who plays Turlough had a decently sized part in Clint Eastwood's 'Hereafter'. Had to rack my brains for ages trying to figure out where I recognised him from.

Can anyone remember the name of the actor (or even the character) who played Anne Clarke's father in the early days. He used to work in the pub & was always after Lily?

Fair City usually do graphic scenes though. And their exits are always a surprise!
