Great episodes at the moment but it does seem like we're heading into Trevor Jordache territory.
I'm rapidly losing sympathy for Vivienne even though she took a hiding last night. She assured Paddy that she would never say a word to anyone about Connor in order to hold the family together. In other words, she has been sheltering a murderer so that she can play happy families (but now it's really blowing up in her face with Paddy starting to terrorise her children). |

I was under the impression, Eurostar, that she promised not to tell anyone for fear that he'd hurt/kill her? And without her, who knows what he would do to Charlotte and the boys. That's what I took from it, anyway. I think it's being rushed, though, and because of it it's harder to sympathise.
Sparrow-eye, I'm not sure you can get the RTEplayer in the UK, but you can find a handful of old episodes here: http://www.youtube.com/user/vonhumbo...view=0&sort=dd The only other eps I could see had funny voice overs. Sorry. |

Wonder if we will see the downfall of Paul's "empire"....there were hints last night. So where will the Dillons live now? Are they basically gone? |

Sorry. Great acting from Paddy anyway : it seems he is a full blown pyschopath and he somehow kept his violent streak under a tight rein for a few months. |

Andrew Connolly (Paddy) is brilliant. I'm genuinely going to miss having him around. He's such a sh*te, but he's played so well I love it when he's on screen. As for the other thing, Eurostar, the way I saw it was: Paddy's a psychopath who had just confessed to killing his best friend since childhood. She already knows, without that info, that he's violent - he has raped and beaten her in the past - so if I was her I would have agreed to keep it quiet and that the sky was green just to get him the eff away from me, so I could flee the country the next day. Looking at it from that point of view, I can... I guess 'justify' her actions. But that's my point of view, and I can see it from yours too. But I don't know which is 'better' than the other, or more realistic, because thankfully I've never been in a violent relationship.
Where are the Dillons living? Is Judith still in Luke's flat? Where's Tommy and Caoimhe living? Or have they not moved out of the house yet? IF they are going out of it, they'd all be given on-screen exits though. And I can't really see Caoimhe going out of it yet. At least, I hope not. The character is really starting to come into her own, and I think the actress is great. |

Arguably the way she has behaved since discovering Paddy was Connor's murderer has been a bit naive and placed her children in some danger, but a mitigating factor is that she is absolutely petrified of him. |

Fair City is excellent at the moment, im delighted the Dillon saga has ended but i do wonder what was the point of Tommy and Orlas one night stand, i was sure that was leading to more but now that Orla and Wayne are in love it doesnt seem that way.
Tommy will have to be hooked up with someone soon, he loves women so wont go alone for too long plus i am sure they will want to unite Tommy and Judith so by him dating someone would make Judith want him. |

Wonder if orla could be pregnant? Would she know by now after her one nighter with Tommy? Tommy will have to be hooked up with someone soon, he loves women so wont go alone for too long plus i am sure they will want to unite Tommy and Judith so by him dating someone would make Judith want him. But, I have had enough of the Dillons to last me a good while so hopefully they will play supporting roles for a while. I think a new family needs to be introduced.

Great episode once again.
I would much rather have seen Zumo square off against Paddy though : Charlotte being the one to knife him was a bit of a soap cliche, but a fight to the death between Zumo and Paddy would have been very believable given their history. |

I guessed from the moment that the murder was announced that it would be Charlotte.
Good episode but the execution at the end was a bit messy, when Paddy was trying to suffocate Vivienne, and when he roboticly walked off set when Zumo came in. Overall good, like others said I would have liked to at least see Paddy and Zumo have a fight before it happened, but I'm okay with them choosing Charlotte. I think that choosing Zumo have deemed the end for his character, but Charlotte something to build hers. Like that Orla/Wayne have finally got together. Also liking Ray's son and his girlfriend being introduced. |

I would like to have seen a bit of confrontation between Paddy and Zumo before Charlotte stepped in pleading them to stop. Perhaps Paddy turning his anger on to Viv with Charlotte coming to her rescue.
All in all though it was a surprise and quite realistic I think. Now, the fallout begins. |

That was a cracker! Martha Fitzpatrick (Charlotte) did a good job tonight...she has come along very well.
I am not sure how the police could say it was murder or self defense? Perhaps because Viv doesn't have the ropes on her wrists or the belt nearby that self defense can't be claimed. Then again just the threat of physical violence would have no signs but can be just as terrifying given Paddy's history. |

I have a feeling after the coin flip that Zumo will end up going down for this.

I'm afraid the scriptwriters have lost me on this one. A homicidal maniac on the run for murder breaks into the home of his family, is about to strangle his tied up wife, knocks his son unconscious with a baseball bat and moves towards his daughter in a menacing fashion. Any jury would totally accept Charlotte's plea of self defence and acquit her of all charges.
It seemed utterly bizarre that after the horrific events of the evening the family would end up debating which one of them would be going to prison, when the natural inclination for anyone would be to call the police immediately. |

The episodes have been well executed and i think Charlotte was the right choice as killer. I am interested to see how the storyline will develop and conclude from here. My only worry is the show has been building to Paddys exit for a while so im not sure what the focus of storylines will be now and for christmas. I hope Leo takes a back seat for a while as his storyline was annoying plus he is such a bad actor.
We have Orla and Wayne that could possibly be dragged out for a few weeks before Maeve etc finds out but what else really is happening? |
