A glimmer of hope of a couple decent storylines coming up.
Please Paul...keep your pants zipped.

Looks really good. Looking forward to Laura finally getting a story, and Yvonne is always good in emotional stories. That should be really good.

That would a nice twist...would love to see that. Yvonne is about my favorite character

And Ugh to jane crap. Jane Jane go away , come back NEVER”

Could not agree more! So predictable...and Paul please "just say no!"

Playing catch up on a few episodes of Fair City. You know that name that some people call the programme, Fair S______y springs to mind. What stupid story lines to follow up the Paddy Bishop story, Leo's sofa, Charlie's Bunions and Paul actually keeping his zip closed for now. BORING.

Ooh, nice idea on Carol supporting Yvonne. That would be good.

Spoiler
Even if Paul doesn't have a full-blown affair, I hope Niamh leaves him this time and takes half, plus her bumped-up runaway fund.

If memory serves, Niamh had 10,000 in the runaway fund, but Paul used that plus the money from the garage in Eddie's investment, so she ended up with 80,000 that she put back into the bank and didn't touch. Any able to confirm this? It was a while ago and I don't really remember.

From what I recall, Paul ended up with a large six figure sum : was it 600k or something? But he didn't really go into any details about how the money would be shared out or who owned what.

I always thought the Dolores losing 1 million Euros and not reporting it to the police storyline was nonsense. She claimed that doing so would result in Wayne "going to prison" but this was codswallop.....they could have come up with some story about Eddie duping Wayne into handing over the funds.

Yeah, it was around 600k or something, but I do remember a conversation between them - it was when Niamh found out about him taking her runaway money - when she went through him for a shortcut and he promised her her original money plus a certain amount of interest on top. And then again when the deal paid off, he was bragging a little, saying (something along the lines of) "Now you have 80k instead of 10" and she was still annoyed because her whole point was he shouldn't have stolen from her, and it could easily have gone the other way.

I dunno. I need another look at her bank statement.

And yeah, if anyone - child or not - took and lost 1million euro on me, they'd be straight down the police station. I wouldn't even lie, I'd get them locked up on principal. Thou shalt not suffer a gobshite to live. Isn't that in the bible or something?

You would think Dolores' main priority would be to try and get some or all of the 1m Euros back (and the Gardai would have taken such a case very seriously.....1m Euros and a person's life savings going missing in a fraudulent bank transaction would be a very big deal to them).

I doubt Wayne would have ended up in the slammer anyway.....he didn't receive a single cent from the one million, all he was guilty of was stupidity

And fraud. And stealing. But this is Ireland, and he's middle class, so he would have got a suspended sentence or a caution.

I doubt it would ever gone to court. If Dolores wanted her money back but didn't want Wayne prosecuted, they could have come up with a story that Eddie blackmailed, threatened or duped Wayne into transferring the money out of her account. It was all arranged by word of mouth and and there was no solid proof of anything.

Yea the Dolores money story was very silly.
If they were going that way it shouldve been less money or she should've been in on it.

I hope Niamh leaves Paul and keeps the house and half his money. Haha.
He's a dope.

I still don't get the point of the Delores money story. Usually when a character loses money it's because they *need* to, to learn humility or to put them into a different place for an upcoming story, but with Delores she's just an older woman working two jobs and trying to keep a homeless shelter going. It hasn't opened up any kind of new stories for her at all. So very silly, badly thought out AND completely pointless in my opinion!

I was a little surprised, given the arguments between the Brennans and the Molloys that neither party commented on Paul buying a horse that once belonged to Dolores. Or that Dolores didn't comment on the fact when she went to babysit last night. Although she probably didn't recognise the place.

Why didn't we get to see Judith last night. Herself, Dolores and Niamh; the three ladies of the house past and present together.

It was too far fetched overall. If Wayne had snuck 20k out of her account, it would have been believable but 1m euros? Also, I presume this would have set all sorts of alarm bells ringing at the bank. At the very least, they would surely have contacted Dolores and asked her did she really want to move all 1m euros out of her account in an online transaction.....they would be very alert to the possibility that a fraud was underway.

It's inexplicable that she didn't report it to the police immediately. They would be more concerned with trying to retrieve the money than prosecuting Wayne IMO, especially as he didn't receive a single cent from it.

I'm not sure what the point of the story was. All it means that Dolores is working at Spar these days rather than voluntarily at the Helping Hand.

I'm convinced the Dillon/Molloy/Brennan house is cursed. Every family that lived there, the father has had an affair.

I think it's more to do with the Fair City men being weak and feckless characters Nearly all the principle male characters seem to have had an affair at some point or to be weak and vacillating in general.

Dolores, Judith. The women have always followed suit. When will Niamh get her chance

Niamh was a right loose woman in the past....throwing herself at her then teacher, Barry O' Hanlon.
Poor Gina had her hands full with her

Yvonne must be badly stuck for a bit of action. There was more life in a cemetery than in the fellow she went out with last night.

Have the scriptwriters forgotten she is supposed to be a lesbian as well? It's a wonder she hasn't gotten it on with Laura yet

Ahh, she's bisexual, not a lesbian as well But yeah, usually by now, in soap, she and Laura would have hooked up, even if it was just a one night stand.

Wouldnt it be gas if Paul accidently killed/seriously brain damaged Jane during a heated row?
He pushes her off and one of her plaits gets stuck in some machinery or car engine ... which ever is more apt ... ...

Anyone else suspect a suicide attempt from Rachel over the cyber bullying could be on the cards?

Anyone watching tonight ?

Poor Yvonne
I think it was interesting how the scenes with Carol and Dan played alongside.

Good to see Bob back on the scene.

Poor Laura too Random having her hang out with Callum but I thought the scene with him and Decco was nice if it a bit random.
