Great to have Louise back (hottest cast member by far), more screentime for the Doyles is inspired. (Didn't you suggest that Cuishla ) Liking her sister scenes with Yvonne.
I did, and I'm glad she came back without Ryan. Although I'm a little confused as to her purpose at the moment. You mentioned that the Dillon storyline was repetitive at times; all Louise seems to do is follow Mondo around in every episode and issue vague threats about having her money tomorrow or next Tuesday. There are some characters that I thought would be present, absent while she's around as well. Dan being one, and Rachel another. Yvonne has always been protective of her niece, I don't think Louise has thought of her once since being back.

Christy needs a storyline
What could they give him though. Since Val left all he's done really is a few scenes in the shop. I can't see them bringing another Farrah into it, but what about his brother Hughie coming back. I wasn't watching when he was around first. Or with the Faheys hearing from Deirdre recently, it could pave the way for Heather, Eleanor and Brendan to return as well.

Jeff Minogue is excellent and i had feared this storyline was his exit. With Fair City you never know if anyone is leaving until they are gone so i hope he is staying. I cant stand Judith and while Tommy was in the wrong having affairs etc i was always on his side. Judith is patronising and everything is about keeping up a good image (what would the neighbours or kids think) a traditional enriched in Irish heritage in older years. It will be interesting where Tommy goes from here.
BiB: agree with everything you said, pretty much, but I live in Mullingar and there are definitely women down here who still act like that.

Agree with Cuishla too, especially about bringing back family for Christy.

I've just noticed that most of my favorite characters are the older men, like Christy and Tommy and Bob.

Strangely though, there are no teenage characters on the show, apart from Rachel and Callum, both of whom have been missing for weeks : at one point they had the school as a regular part of the storyline with a load of teenagers in the cast.

I quite like Judith except when she was with Luke and acting like a sex crazed teen.

Mondo really is a horrible toad. Love Kerry Ann though

Yeah, where did all the teenagers go? It's not exam time yet, unless Rachel was doing her junior cert mocks, and she looks too old for third year.

Niamh is looking gorgeous.

Orla looked beautiful on her wedding day. Fantastic comic timing between Orla and Wayne, they're a great match. It was a nice change to have simply comedy on a soap wedding rather than affair reveals and break-ups.
The aftermath is proving to be exciting with Dolores finding out.

Does Niamh really need to have an affair? Is every Carraigstown resident going to get their turn at an affair storyline? Is anyone else really sick of it?

I thought Yvonne was supposed to be leaving?

I thought Yvonne was leaving too. They made such a big deal with that episode where she packed her bag and walked away, but then she was in the next episode at a therapy session and that was it: she was back.

Completely agree about Orla and Wayne having the comedy wedding (and a comedy birth - Wayne with the water lol). They had to: they both work great as comedy characters. I don't rate the actress who plays Delores at all, so I'm glad it looks like it's going to be played for laughs instead of deep drama.

Never thought I'd be saying it but loving Wayne and Orla. Delorus asking the nurse about the baby was a very typical Irish mammy thing to do. Don't usually rate her but thought she was good on Thursday. Finding Michaels father so annoying. They need to tone him down

I think the daughter is worse. Can't stand her at all. We were looking for more teenagers above, well we got her now and I wish they hadn't bothered.

Didn't Michael say at Easter that he had a brother in Amsterdam with poker or something like that. No doubt they'll be bringing him in as well at some stage.

Agree, the daughter is very tiresome. Let's hope she disappears into the teenage black hole.

I was hoping that the brief mention Decco gave awhile back, about Vivienne and Charlotte not liking Spain, was going to lead to them coming back. Really not liking the new teenager. I'd much prefer to see Charlotte back than her palling around with Rachel.

This is the most I've ever been entertained by Delores. I'm loving Orla/Wayne and her and Pete. They're the best little family FC have had in yonks, even if very few of them are actually related! It's a real shame Wayne Junior isn't Wayne's child.

The new "teenager" is not a teenager at all of course, she looks a lot older.

I agree: I thought she was at least first year in university, but then there was a scene where she was sneaking alcohol in the Station, so I assumed she was supposed to be under 18, which was just confusing to be honest.

The O'Briens are making me yearn for more crazy Tommy. And the way they're forcing Paul to be mister nice guy with them is do implausible. I assume it's all leading up to the reveal of the affair. And who's this Johnny guy?

My dad had a stroke, and watching Christy tonight was very, VERY uncomfortable. He's playing it perfectly, from the sloping mouth/face to the belligerence and unwillingness to accept what happened to him. I know this sounds odd, but I'm glad it's him, because Tom Hopkins is a good actor, and he's backed up by two other good actors in Aisling O'Neil and Ryan Andrews. Plus it might lead to Farah coming back into it.

Pleasantly surprised with Fair City the last few episodes. Kudos to Tom Hopkins on his performance so far in what must be an extremely challenging storyline for any actor to play.

The only other time I've seen someone play a stroke-affected character so completely realistically was Anthony Hopkins in Legends of the Fall. I wouldn't be surprised if Tom had someone in his family who's had a stroke.

Loving Sean at the moment...wish Niamh was more involved because it would be more realistic. What a kind young man.

Eoghan. Eoghan. He seems to have been brought in to oppose or be beligerant (sp) to every single social norm or current issue. I want to believe his worry for his daughter but I see it more as his thinking it's his failure as a father and Katy is set to pay the price. I loved Katy's line "willl you hate me as much as you hate her?"

The girl who plays Katy is fine, and I still like the mother, but that dad Eoghin is cringey as hell.

Cant take to the new Farrah at all, she talks through her teeth.
She's years younger than she should be too.

Was coming on this thread to post the same thing! She's very wooden. How old should she be? Was she not in her late 20s when she left?

I'm not a fan either but if she sticks around, I might get used to her. Takes me a while to get used to new ones anyway. Don't know why they needed a fourth Farrah for though. I can't think of any other adult soap character played by four different people

The physio Christy had yesterday, it was her first appearance this year (The first Tuesday in August). She made one appearance last year (on the first Tuesday in August as well) Found that slightly amusing, must be the only time she's available.

Yea she was, I thought, but Sean said tonight that she was gone 15 years, (is she) she doesn't look like she's in her mid-late 30's.
