No, joking aside, it was Whitney.

It would be great if it was Tracey, as payback for what Sam did to her

It was definitely someone who we saw getting ready to phone, but don't get too convinced it was Whitney...

I'd like it to Phil - to teach her a bleedin' lesson as she wouldn't do a thing he said to stop drawing attention to herself
It won't be though ...I reckon Ronnie. She's a bit demented at the moment and will do anything to get her own way - she will not have liked the way that Sam was leaning into Joel And no doubt Roxy was there egging her on ![]() EDIT: And can someone remind me exactly what Sam did to Tracey, locked her in the bathroom or something? My crap memory is playing up again

Not thought about it until now but why would they have Tracey finding out about Sam and nothing else is added to it? Everyone we seen on the phone had a motive to do so making them all suspects and yet we didn't see Tracey (or Pat) - who also have motives - but it'd be more unpredictable to be Tracey than Pat. Personally, this "who grassed Sam?" storyline doesn't have me on the edge of my seat. We all know she must walk free and the aftermath will just be Peggy screaming, "get awt of mar pub!! yarr barred!" And it's pretty much over. I did like that there were so many suspects and not just 3-4 though. I like guessing/predicting its fun but it won't affect the show in great detail with this storyline so it makes it less cool. The pregnancy with Heather isn't all that, either. The aftermaths could be great and give good storylines to some dull characters around at the moment, maybe. But until there, it's all a tad  |

It would be brilliant if it was Tracey. Peggy is in the pub holding everyone hostage and demanding who phoned the police but she never even looks at Tracey, everyone is quiet, then Tracey says in her quiet voice 'It was me.'
A few people look towards her but most just ignore her. Then again, 'It was me' a little louder this time. A few more look over. 'IT WAS ME'. Everyone including Peggy look at Tracy, then Peggy says 'Oh do be quiet Tracey and serve those gentlemen some drinks' Then Tracey tells everything about why she phoned the police, and Peggy finally believes her. Then Tracey's family walk in and support her. Then Tracey's husband holds up a cd player because he recorded Tracey on the phone, and they play it back, and we get to hear the full conversation. Ooh if only something like that could happen

It can't be Tracey as Peggy would most likely sack her for it, which would be blaspheme considering her legacy.

In the face of a resounding chorus of 'No! Don't be daft!'s, I'll suggest that it could actually have been Peggy.
All she sees for her daughter is an endless future on the run, with little prospect of her living a normal life. She's already been parted from her for years due to the situation, and having her back after this has made her unable to bear the thought of another separation. She reasons that if Sam had a prison term, the uncertainty would be over for both of them, Sam would be able to start a normal life after a known deadline and she'd at least be able to visit her in the meantime. So, while we're being shown a bunch of red herrings, she makes the call, waits for the proverbial to hit the fan and then afterwards makes a big performance in the bar over someone grassing up her daughter, in order to deflect the suspicions of faaamlee, customers - and viewers. Sorted
