Matt and Ian in print

Matthew and Ian are in a big three page article in the Womans Weekly this week.

The pics are lovely, well worth a look.

I have posted this separately because although I posted this on W&T it seems most people are too posh to read our thread.

I will have to go out a buy a copy now.

(I'm sure people dip in and read the W&T thread even if they don't post. I know I do. )

If you are in the thread then perhaps it would be nice to post something.

Anyone is welcome and Strictly 7 will be featured there as much as anywhere else once it starts.

My two all-time favourite pros together in one article! I have to go out and buy a few bits later as I have people coming for dinner, so I'll pick up a copy then. Thanks EJ.

It's a really great article with some lovely pics.......it's already been discussed in various Appeciation threads in the Appreciation sub-forum

I think this may have brought up one of the probs with the forum being split up........many things about various pros will now get posted in the AP threads OFF the main forum and many newcomers to the forum (from next Friday onwards) may not even realise the sub-forums are there.

i don't read W&T ej.........does that make me posh i don't read it because i don't have the time to read every single thread on the forum so i stick to the ones that interest me the most (as i suspect most people do).

I used to read W&T now and again ages ago but people going into detail about what they do on a day to day basis does not interest me and that's why i've never posted in there.........granted this is what the W&T thread was set up for and it's great that you have developed a little community with mutual friendship but don't have a "go" at people who don't read or post on there as a consequence of it's content,i don't come on here and make assumptions about people that don't post on Matt and Alesha Appreciation,it's their choice not to post on there and that's fine by me

The discussing wasn't meant to single out the W&T thread in the slightest, just an example of a thread that at times is just as on topic/off topic as the Apreciation threads. For people who post in certain appreciation threads but not in non specific celeb/pros threads (ie. W&T, Bored), they are right to be confused with the different ways they've been treated .

We never implied that it was unfriendly...the clues in the thread title .

You seem to under the impression that the W & T thread is just for talking about what people have been doing day to day. We keep the thread up on page one between the series by doing just that as well as talking about dancing and seeing the pros doing their cabaret shows etc.
We are not an appreciation thread for any couple or pro or celeb or whatever.
We support the series as a whole and do discuss things in a friendly way. In the past we have found that if we didnt agree with a poster point of view on another thread then we needed armour and helmets to survive.

I am not having a go at you rather the other way round. If you cant have your appreciation thread on the main forum then you are going to throw missiles at the threads which are stll on there. Cant understand it you should be happy to have a section on appreciation all to yourselves.

I doubt that the mods will change it back now anyway.

ej......what does it matter if your thread is on page one or not ??.......all the threads drop down at some point or another and people still find them

When you all do talk about what you do on a day to day basis (and before you say it i've never said there is anything wrong with that.......in fact as i said before i think it's great you have developed a community friendship on W&T) i'm not bothered because i don't read/post there......but that's the point,i know you talk about dance/SCD/demos etc now and again but i haven't got the time to read all the day to day stuff thats put on there as well........BUT that's my choice and you should respect that of any forum member and not say they are "too posh to read our thread".

I know you are not an Appreciation thread ??

ej..........don't come on here and make a comment that people are "too posh to read our thread" and then not expect people to comment.......if you want to get into the whole throwing missiles analogy then don't throw the FIRST one and then expect everyone to lie down and take it.

When have i ever said i'm not happy with the AP threads being moved ?? and even if i wasn't that's not the "issue" at the moment (although you are choosing to make it so ),my "issue" is you having a go at people not posting in "your" thread,if they don't post there it's for their own reasons and it shouldn't matter to you why they don't,if we all went around making comments about people not posting in various threads then the forum would be clogged up/off topic and unmanagable.

As i say other people don't come on here making comments about people that don't post in "our" threads so i don't see why you should feel the need to.

We're all quite happy posting in the threads we WANT to so i don't see why anyone should be making an issue out of what is ultimately a personal choice of the individual.

What on earth is going on here???

elizabethjo you seem to have a real bee in your bonnet since someone dared mention moving the W&T thread and imho it is starting to cause more bad feeling than moving the ATs in the first place!

Within 10 minutes of the original (mild) post asking for the ATs to be put back on the main board you responded with

And yet now here you are having a dig at people who don't post on the W&T.

And given how long you have been posting on here, I am surprised that you wouldn't have realised that Greytop's Everything SCD! thread (Part 2) is where anything in the media about SCD can usually be found - people work very hard at keeping that thread up to date. Sure enough if you check posts #161 and #167 both posted on 9th September you will find the details of the Woman's Weekly coverage.

I completely agree with Fairygirl has said on here and I don't post on ATs.

Explain again what is the difference is between threads like the W&T, SCD Rebels, Bored, etc. and the ATs? Surely they are all places where like-minded people - many of whom have become friends - chat even when the series isn't on. After all, no one can discuss the actual shows when the series isn't on yet. But on the AT threads they do discuss what is going on with the subject of their appreciation, etc., just as you might discuss your dancing lessons, etc.,. Neither places welcome negativity.

The ATs have been moved and it doesn't look like they will be moved back any time soon. Why not just let the subject drop and enjoy the fact that the W&T thread is still on the main board. Keeping this bad feeling going is a way of drawing attention that you might regret if the Mods catch on.
