Reading another thread made me think of this...

Is beans on toast a boring meal?

I like to spice it up a little - put some ground pepper into the beans when heating it up, and either some chilli powder or Reggae Reggae sauce into it. That and serve it up with a runny fried egg. On a couple slices of bread with seeds on. Mmm tasty quick meal

No it's not boring I think beans on toast is a very nice meal. In fact if the Queen came around my house she would get beans on toast and also some flumps for dessert.

I always finely chop an onion and a couple of peppers, stir fry them a little then chuck the beans in. Few rounds of toast, bit of cheese and YUM.

You're forgetting that with the topic involving beans, the subject of wind will inevitably arise, making this perfect DS:GS fodder.

Hot chilli sauce and beans without the toast for me. A chapatti or a wrap on the side.

I saw a cafe advertising beans on toast with a cup of tea or coffee - £4.99

Seemed expensive to me.

I tried beans over cheese on toast once, wasn't very nice. Now beans, fried egg, bacon and fried bread is a very nice treat.

A fiver for beans on toast? That better be one hell of a large cup of tea to make up the price difference.

I love cheese and beans on toast, so simple yet so lush. I must agree with the sentence in bold though.

To my beans in the pan I add black pepper, chilli sauce, chopped mushrooms, a little garlic and some chopped (or dried) coriander. Serve on buttered wholemeal toast and top with a freshly poached egg. It's delightful. Honest!

I also tried beans over cheese on toast and I think it's one of those meals that , in your mind, it's tastey, in fact you are correct, it does not work.

Lol, we put butter in our beans as well

Heinz beans only with a knob of butter, 3 slices of buttered toast, a whole one in the middle and the rest sliced round the outside.

Wish I could have beans on toast at work, we do have a toaster and a hob but somehow it just wouldn't seem right lol
