BBC Radio 2. Friday Night Is Music Night

I am listening to LBC.
The London-centric ads do not bother me at all. Not even the "Let us help you with Tax Avoidance" ads.. That is a small price to pay to hear quality speech radio that is vastly superior to 5 Live for maybe 22 hours out of 24.....

5 Live Baseball on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra. Their featured New York Yankees @ Colorado Rockies game is in a rain delay, so they have switched to the Detroit Tigers @ Washington Nationals.

5 Live Baseball has finished on 5LSE (they gave up on waiting for the Yankees @ Rockies to restart at 10.45pm), but I'm continuing to listen to the Tigers @ Nationals commentary from 106.7 The Fan in Washington via MLB.com.

Paddy Macdee on BBC Newcastle.

Then I might flip over to either Up All Night on Five Live or Absolute if I fancy some music.

BBC Radio Five Live

12:00 (Midday) and Tony Livesey sits in for Shelagh Fogarty with news from around the UK. Including sport, politics, and money news.

Not a bad show, worth a listen if you've not done so before.

Anyone out there listened to "Dr Karl And The Naked Scientist" -the Scientist broadcasts via R5Ls Up All night program, between 3 and 4am.
I usually download the Podcast and listen during normal daytime hours -but anyone'd find him interesting as he opens up the World of Science on this phone-in

LBC - love James O'Brien's show - but I'm just about to turn off as Julia Hartley Brewer is coming on air - and I can't stand her.

Earlier today, among other stations I listened to a fair amount of talkSPORT's coverage of the final day of the Premier League season on Matchday Live.
