I have tried listening to Radio 4 on both DAB and FM on a £230.00 radio. The FM sound is far nicer, I would say a more natural sound. I have stopped using the DAB function, and only listen on FM.

I'm sure that's the case on a high end radio but on my Pure One portable I can't notice much difference.

Personally I think portables are about the only thing DAB is good for.
