I loved Rach last year and was really anticpating her performance tonight, but by god it was bad!

Hoping she improves at bootcamp though!

I'm sure she'll do better than that next round.

I do hope she got down to the last six girls so we can actually hear a performance from her.

I must need my ears testing then because to me she sounded great. Sure it was a little rough around the edges but i'm still convinced Rachel has masses of potential. Bring on Boot Camp!

She needs a bit more work on her voice because there's something there, it just needs to come out better. But her image is spot on! She seems very quirky, which is great if she's put through as the diva of the series.

I hope that's not the case. She'll get a lot of unfair backlash due to the diva triumph of Alexandra and Leona. I hope they don't fit her into the 'black girl stereotype' and make her sing Whitney/Mariah

She has so much potential to be as quirky with her music as with her image. I would love her to go down a reggae-rock route or something (like Rihanna with her second album)

I hope that too. What I meant was that if she's put through as the "diva" then she'll be very quirky and won't go down the Mariah/Whitney path.

A interview after she just got through to bootcamp!
Is this another good sign that she got quite far?

I'm still not keen on that audition as she seemed to be trying way to hard and went over the top a bit, but I'm sure she will chill next week and not try so hard.

Rachel singing 'I have nothing' in 2008!

Not a great copy and only 30 seconds long, but I like it.

Wow, she is amazing.

Look at that comment underneath the video

Btw, does anyone know what she sang at bootcamp?

I like how she's making zero effort, imagine if she actually sang that with a little effort and more seriously it would be amazing.

I don't have a clue, but I swear someone said Paolo Nutini or maybe it was Danian Rice....

Yeah, don't listen to me as it was probably none of them xD

I really like that.

I can't wait to see her tonight. I'd love it if she does that type of stuff in the next rounds.

I hope she goes down that route aswell, but would love her to do like one big ballad one week if she was to ever get in the lives as she really does have the voice.
Some poeple really don't understand how she could possibly be better than Rozelle or Jade either

I hope we get more than 10 seconds her her tonight!

I was watching randomly watching last years bootcamp, and she was actually shown singing Amy Winehouse's back to black.

Well she's through to the top 50

Basically zero shown of her still

I'm like the only one posting in here xD

She was actually shown for more than 10 seconds

She really needs to show she has a huge voice because shown in that whitney clip she really does.

OMG I loved her version of 'Last Request'. She is great ! I like her a lot lot more after tonight.

I think Rachel is much better than Rozelle. Rozelle's voice is shaky as hell!

Love Rachel!

Rozelle is very pitchy and downright terrible.
Rachel, although very irritating and arrogant, is considerably talented. Last Request was brilliant and hopefully she'll continue in that vein from now on.

I don't think she will be portrayed as the diva however. Lucie has that in the bag.

Rachel was great tonight. Far better than her audition. She also sounded even better in a little clip on Xtra Factor.

A few people are saying that she is apparently 'arrogant'. I just don't get it though. I don't see it.

YAY our girl was great tonight. Really really hoping Rachel makes the Judges houses. She should do on that performance. Im loving the direction she's heading in. I do like Lucie but I think if she's going down the 'Diva' route she is gonna get compared to both Leona & Alexandra whom IMO are much better.

No offence to Lucie fans, but she was SO off in Hurt it was awful. Nicole (the one who ended the show) was by far the best "diva".

But Rachel is just fantastic. Hopefully she goes down the kind of route that we just saw of her, because she really suited that. It was amazing. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

I totally agree with your Lucie comment. I do like her as a person and she can definitely sing but Hurt is too big a song for her. It is a song for warbling/ad-libs etc but she sang it not how it should be sung. I do disagree with your Nicole comment. She was great at points but she screamed a hell of a lot on that performance that my dog peed herself

Rachel has so much potential to do well. Remember, she could have the fanbase of Diana last year. She is around Diana's age, boys would fancy/appreciate her, girls would like her too and she has that maturity to be loved by adults too.

I think people are mixing 'confidence' with 'arrogance.' I've seen nothing of Rachel that warrants an 'arrogant' label.
