Did this system ever have a remote control?

I have been (and very kindly) given an early 1990's Sony midi system in almost mint condition from a relative of her late sister.

The only thing that was ever used was the turntable and this is the finest example of a system this age I have seen. I cannot believe they were actually going to throw this out!

Now...I am wondering if this system came with a remote control? The model number is: HCD-D108. I have looked on EBAY and someone is actually auctioning the NEXT model up from this which is the: HCD-D109 of which DOES have a remote control.

I have found out the model number for the remote control of the HCD-D109 and there are a couple avaliable on EBAY...but having searched the internet (and EBAY) itself...I cannot find a remote control relating to the system I have - (HCD-D108)

Did this system come with the same remote control as the HCD-D109 or was the HCD-D108 exempt from a remote?

Any help as always will be gratefully appreciated...

there will presumably be a infra-red sensor, if there was a remote.

No mention of a remote control in the service manual or spares list.

Thats what I was looking for on the front panel and there seems to be nothing related to a sensor as such.

I have contacted my local sony centre, and apparantly it doesn't come with remote...it has been confirmed.
