Cowell keeps up with the crap
Simon Cowell, true to appalling form, wants to launch Jordan's singing career, according to The Sun, at least.

Don't blame Simon Cowell for making a good living exploiting people with no taste. If the great British public didn't buy crap like that he wouldn't do it.

If the British public would buy the Cheeky Girls' CDs, they'll buy anything.

But she can't sing, Simon should not be allowed in the music business. Does he not realise he is totally destroying it.

It makes me wonder though, if he ever cares that he's probably never had anything to do with any decent music. Probably not, a man without soul.

For want of a better analogy, Simon Cowell is simply a messenger who should not be shot. The people who are "destroying" (if it really is being destroyed) the music business are the people who buy the records. And, really, there are two points to address here: 1. Is the music industry being destroyed just because it's being populated with music you don't like. If so, then that is a remarkably shallow view - taste is a varied thing and one man's shite is another man's gold. I personally do not think it's being destroyed at all, I think currently we have a far more varied chart than we did in, say, the beginning- to mid- nineties. 2. How can you write off the woman's singing career before you've even heard her first song? To me, a good song is a good song, and I don't care if it's sang by Pink, Jordan or Cherie frigging Blair, so long as it's sung well it is still a good song. It really doesn't matter whether she is a "busty slag" or a flat-chested virgin! People are way too quick to judge. You cannot say Cowell has destroyed the music business any more than you could say The Sun has destroyed the newspaper business. Cowell, like The Sun, simply caters for lowest common denominator demand, just like any smart business man would. |

If I believed everything that was written in the rubbish that calls itself the press, particularly the tabloids, then I'd hibernate.

That is how the music industry is getting destroyed, people like Simon Cowell expect them to be either massive immediatly and have some future or they get dropped.

Plus a few other sites are reporting it, and probably Digital Spy too, before long.If I believed everything that was written in the rubbish that calls itself the press, particularly the tabloids, then I'd hibernate. I should point out that I'm not a avid Sun reader, but if you treat it as a comic, it can have entertainment value for the occasional reader . Persh the thought of ever buying it though .
