If anyone has a series record set for the lunchtime edition it failed to record today. Deleting the series and rescheduling from tommorrow sets a first reservation at 05:35 tommorow morning

Hi Graham,

Not sure why today's didn't record (other than it being Channel5!!).

Tomorrow's 05:35 is a repeat of today's lunchtime prog. It has the same Series CRID as tomorrow's lunchtime one you have set up, so will be correctly picked up. It has the same Prog CRID as today's episode to identify a repeat. You didn't get today's, so it will record it.

The next programme at lunchtime has a Prog CRID incremented by one character, so will again get picked up.

Rgds.

Les the schedule list was not updated from last friday presumably it should have updated by now. Deleted the existing series recording set a one off for todays evening repeat. Went to tommorows lunch time episode a series reservation puts todays early morning repeat in the schedule and a one off correctly schedules the lunchtime episode. I never realised setting a series recording would go back before the initiating event in the epg.

Oh yesss

If you choose the last episode in the 8-day EPG, as long as the CRID data is correct, it will schedule the first one it can find - quite smart really

It's helped me a few times when I thought I'd missed the first episode, and hadn't bothered to search. By scheduling the next one as a series, it picked up early morning repeats that I didn't know about.

Were you recording the CRIDs from last Fri on your spreadsheet? Did they change the Series CRID? If you weren't noting it, it's a bit frustrating that you can't see the CRID data on the orphaned timer. It would be good if it left this as the data on the last successful recording.

Rgds.

No Les not recording CRIDs - rely on Steph for that . To be honest Home & Away has so many repeats a missed recording is hardly a disaster, it all adds to the learning process though, never imagined it would look backwards.
