MADONNA - What comes next after "Celebration"?
Just thinking. Now that Madonna has finished her tour and has a GH package coming out in a few days...what's next?
I think she'll take a break until after christmas and be back in the studio to record the follow up to "Hard Candy" around Feb. I hope so because I have withdrawl symptoms if I don't hear new music from her for a while. She's like a drug.

Revolver is confirmed as the 2nd and final Warner single according to Madonna tribe.
So looking at the dates it will be either a late November, sometime in December, at latest early January release and if as rumoured she is on X Factor and performs it she gets a number 1. ![]() As for next album direction. I'd like her to make Ray Of Light 2 if possible. Forget the pop and forget trying to appeal to teenagers of today. She has her fanbase and they are all older now. Madonna once said, mature your sound with your fans. Its something she has started to go against and its what she would do well to remember. She needs another serious album to affirm her position as the only Queen of pop. |

She needs to stop trying to appeal to the younger generation and go back to making good solid music. Hard Candy missed the boat in that area. lol |

I heard that she is going to direct a movie next. I think she should take some time off to recharge her inspiration musically.
I know a lot of her fans are older, but I don't think she should make music that is too sleepy and boring and just ballads. I like her youthful spirit and I hope she never loses that. I've always wanted her to make a rock album. That would keep the youthful appeal, but take her in a different direction than the dance stuff which I admit has become a little tired. She is very ballsy, strong and in your face so I don't think just doing ballads and mellow music would suit her. |

I think she wants to do the movie about Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII, why she insist's on making movies is beyond me, music is where it's at for Madonna it's what she does best and she should stick to it.
Madonna's recent music problem is she is following trends not setting them and that is what she needs to get back to. Hard Candy was a missed opportunity she should of worked with David Guetta for that album it would of been so much better. Her next album. She needs to find a new young producer (not Paul Oakenfold please not Paul) who is inventive and different (i would like a UK producer her best albums of the last decade are Ray Of Light and Confessions On A Dancefloor both by UK producers) and Madonna take your time there is no rush for a new album just get it right this time and not a retro 80's album that boat is sailing this year. You can always do a greatest hits tour if you are looking for something to do. |

i'd like to see her do a pop-rock album. It could be awful, but could be awesome also.
and she'd be able to perform rock songs better live, which is where the money (and arguably her remaining career) is focused on now. |

I really hope to God that the airplay version of Celebration is the original Oakenfield version. The Benassi remix video currently doing the music channel rounds just sounds like an internal computer operation; I've never rated 'remixes' which simply consist of an original vocal track just being shoehorned any old how into a completely disparate musical arrangement, and this regrettably falls solidly into that category.

I hope she takes a break from music for a while. A year or two and concentrates on coming back with a stomper of an album that matches the quality of 'Confessions of a dancefloor', which for me, was brilliant. Some songs off Hard Candy were alright but that's not the sound I like Madonna being at so she should stay away from it.
