I would love to see more Pro dances than the ruddy dance off

I hope we still get to see lots of Pro dances on the saturday because there's no sunday show. They're one of my favourite parts of Strictly

Unfortunately, I think we are stuck with the dance off

I would suggest though that when it comes to performing two dances later in the series, couples who find themselves in the dance-off be asked to re-perform their weaker dance.

This will give them more scope for improvement, but more importantly, it will stop couples relying on one dance to get them through and will prevent us losing a couple that is better overall.

I prefer to watch the pro dance, but the dance off does give the celebs a second chance to put things right if they screw up first time round. So swings and roundabouts, I think.

Dance off, definitely. Too many pro dances can be very dull and we'll still have one or two anyway.

The dance off is there so that when the public dump really good dancers into the bottom of the poll and save the hopeless, the judges can ensure that the worst possible outcome doesn't happen. Its become indispensable. With one show it will also help people remember what people did to deserve or not to go before a very long gap in the middle while the vote goes on. They are going to have to fill the gap in the middle with something so I would expect lots of cheap singers and pro dances too.

In my opinion, the only couples that deserve to stay are the ones that the public connect with and feel passionate enough about that they will pick up their phones and spend money voting for them.

It doesn't matter how good or bad they are.

The judge's scoreboard assists the better dancers. If they still can't escape the dance-off, you have to question whether they should still be there as the public clearly don't want to see them as much as some of the others.

I know that's a controversial point of view, but why bother having a public vote if the judges are going to manipulate the outcome anyway?

Way to go Sid! I get really annoyed when couples are saved in the dance off week after week. If they are in it several weeks running it means the public are not voting for them.

I think that the couple with the least votes each week should go out. End of.

The system where the pro and celeb do their worst dance again would have made no difference over the past two series, except possibly to Lisa vs Austin, and even there there was only 1 point in it and let's face it, the judges probably would have saved Lisa anyway.

The best way to do it is just to have the judges pick who they want to save based on the entire competition. The dance-off's a load of old bollocks and too based on which dance a celebrity gets for it - if you're doing a Latin dance up against a Ballroom dance you might as well forget it.

And yes, more pro dances. Or celebrity group dances. They're always fun.

They aren't.

The judges scores and public vote used to contribute 50% each to the outcome.

Now, the judges have a greater say. They are doing the manipulating, not the voters.

I think you're right, it should be done on who they think is the better dancer all round than on the night perhaps (sometimes it seems they pick on this anyway ) I'd rather not have the dance off simply because its cruel, 'The public liked you the least now go dance again in front of the jdges that tore you apart earlier....' Bleargh no thanks.
