Today, in a moment of madness, I bought an Amstrad e-mailer/sms phone.
It costs 50p to send an sms. As for e-mail forget it, re-morgage the house...
You have to subscribe to amserve.com for everything. I want to know do they re-route your phone calls?
Why I ask is, when you answer a call there seems to be a slight delay. Like when someone phones you from mobile to landine.
I hope not, not at their charges.

READ THE TERMS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX CAREFULLY

It's appalling - I wouldn't touch it AT ALL. I think it costs a bomb to run.

Hi,
I have one of these by my PC.

Its not THAT expensive. For example, where it says it dials up everyday for e0-mail, you cant get it on manual and then it wont dial up everyday. I only use mine for the answermachine ( Free ), and to use as a phonebook and phone. Its quite a good phone, and it dials up on a 0800 number for updates, whihc is good.
Hope this helps

Mines fine.

As Thanhuk said, change the frequency that it checks for e-mail to once a week and your laughing.

For 30 quid its a natty piece of kit. No grumbles. Mine is used just for the address book only though.

When it does a call only lasts for 0.25 meaning i barely get charged much
