There are many, many threads on the official BB forum about the auditions, most seem very vague at best as to what exactly happens during the process.

So far, i have read that people arrive at 7 am and the general trend is there are about 50 or 60 people in the queue at that time, then as the hours move on, the queue gets longer, a group of producers move down the line and start asking you questions.

Then if your chosen, you go in and i believe straight away have to sit in a diary room chair where you sell yourself for a minute.
From what i have read, if you screw this, you wont go any further, screwing it up would involve talking too quickly or just dying on your arse, you get the idea.

After that you fill in an application form and then its on to what we have all heard about before, the regular games and excercises that they use to decide who goes through to the next round.

I am eager to hear the viewpoints of the DS audition attendees,
the official forum posters dont seem to be very verbally astute and the description of the process generally tends to ramble off into some OT rant.

So if you have gone to one, and can enlighten me further as to how it worked when you got there and anything else that might be of interest such as what did you say when you got on the Diary room chair?, and when you sit down, is it front of the queue or just a few production staff members.

Has noone auditioned yet ? Apparently the numbers of applicants are well down this year.I suppose that increases the chances for anyone who is thinking about applying.

I think the numbers were up a bit at the most recent audition, but the quality of those turning up seems to be a bit questionable to say the least.

I think i can remember you from my audition. When we had to allocatte the written secret to the person whom we thought would have wrote it something highly memorable happened. You had left the room right? The producers were talking about that for months, it is BB audition folklore now, all the housemates know about it.

Hehe - I'm not quite sure how to take that.

It has knocked you of your stride a little, no? I found it brilliant and hillarious. It is still vivid in mt mind. Simon was bending my ear about it the second I was evicted.

How have you been enjoying 'life on the outside' since BB4 ended anyway?

Having had some prior practice , I havent found it so bad. off course there is a moronic element that you have to deal with, stuff like "there's that mad poof Frodo, awe you ya bender youve got a wee dick". The thing is though that even pre BB i'd get that stuff on the sreets off this conformist backward little town. It has to be taken as a compliment, nothing else.

I've got to cut this conversation short - I've got a few things I need to do in prep for work in the morning. I'm glad to hear you're bearing up well under the strain of instant stardom, and wish you all the best for the future.

Take care, Py.

Im honoured that you posted in this thread Federico,
i was aware that Jon Tickle has been on the board, but hadnt known that you had an account here.

Can i just take this oppurtunity to say that when you left i was gutted?. You and Jon were the only real hope for something interesting to happen.

Also, do you have any hints to get noticed in the audition process?.

Are you noticed in the street everyday?, in your opinion is it a good or a bad thing to go on BB?.
I know some of this stuff has been discussed elsewhere but i think its relevant to the theme of auditioning for people who mgiht want to.

Anyway thanks Fed in advance.

I think its sad that Fed gets guff from thugs on the street.
I would say though, that he probably wouldnt get half of it if Davina and the production crew hadnt gone out of their way to insult him upon his exit with the famous "winkle" comments.
I know if you audition you have to expect things like that but it was really uncalled for.

Yeah I thought it was done pretty humourlessly as well and made uncomfortable tv. Reckon the Neds would just make a comment about something else though.

The sad thing is they probably think they are hysterically funny and original

I'm so pleased to see Federico posting here - just goes to show what (most) people on the boards thought - him and Jon, who has also posted, were the only good things about BB4. Mind you, I've not lost sleep over the lack of a sermon from St. Cameron. Also glad to see that Fed's still retained a sense of humour - all the best to him & cheers for the message.

I think that Enedemol goes too far sometimes. I always thought they went too far when they told Bubble what his girlfriend had been up to live on air at his eviction. If I had done the show I would have expected to be held accountable for the things I had said or done and not to be brought bad news about things that had been beyond my control. Where would they have drawn the line? If his daughter had been diagnosed with leukaemia or his dad had died ? It was exploitative telly, just as when usa bb broke the news to somone live in the diary room about a loved one lost on September 11. It was cruel and not entertaining.

Endemol make a fortune out of these people and in my opinion should do what is in their power to shield the participants from the excesses of tabloid interest when it is in their power to do so ....not milk it for all it is worth.Just because someone consents and there is after show support etc. shouldn't give them cartblanche to do whatever they like. If you are an employee there is legislation to prevent employers abusing power and you can get compensation if you are injured at work...the fact that you were prepared to do what you were told to do and thus 'consented ' to work using the unsafe practises won't necessarily mean that you can't make a claim. It looks to me that endemol largely sets its own boundaries re what is acceptable. The only complaints that ever seem to be upheld are re swearing before the watershed. One of those days they may slip up and select a hm who is vulnerable and not as robust as the psychologists think. I hope not.

Federico - I was at your audition aswell along with Py. I got down to the London auditions, but never made it past the final hurdle. I must admit, I was rather gutted when I saw you in the house because you had been at my audition. Jealous, me? Never!!!

Hiya Scaredy,

I haven't seen you around in a while. Did you decide to go along to the SECC auditions after all?

Hi Scaredy cat,
its great to see the old faithful posters returning to the forum,
it certainly seems to be kick starting again.

Although, when BB is on then you really see the action,
3 subjects per minute lol.

Anyone remember the bomb scare night when the board got overloaded with i think 3060 people, mainly trying to find out what had happened to the BB live show?.

Hiya Guys.

Py, I have sent you a PM - no more BB applications for me!

Not long now until the next BB and if they choose a bunch of nutcases this year as predicted, this place should go wild again.

I remember the bomb scare night, I was gutted as I had just bought a curry and settled down to watch and it was cancelled. It was a shame, because boring as he was, Gos was a nice guy in his interview and he never got the eviction to the crowds that is such a huge part of the BB experience.
