By any chance is there anyone out there controlling a Yamaha Soundbar with the HDR Remote?

There are various models all with part numbers starting "YSP".

I am very tempted to purchase a YSP-30D and it would really assist to be sure the RC can control it!

There are codes referred in the Humax manual that I would test in person if I could locate a soundbar on demo locally in a shop. Problem is I cannot!

I've got mine controlling a Yamaha DSP-AX750SE amp, i'm pretty sure it will support a sound bar.

My father-in-law has an HDR and a YSP-800, I'm not sure if he's setup the remote, I'll check at the week-end when I'm there.

If you have a chance to check it would be really appreciated. In the manual there are 2 Yamaha RC codes listed under "Audio Accessory": 2021 and 2126. I imagine it is one of these.

About 6 weeks ago a YSP-900 WITHOUT remote control went on eBay for not very much. At the time I did not "connect" that the HDR RC could possibly operate it.

All I need is a soundbar with 2 digital inputs and remote control of on/off; volume and input selection.

Yamaha numbering of these products is pretty byzantine but I am actively looking out for YSP-800 or -900 or -3000 or -30D!

I have a Yamaha YSP-800 Soundbar and while I do not use it with my Humax after reading this thred I did try out the codes and it worked. I used code No 0816 from the list and this enabled me to switch on the soundbar, alter the volume and change the input sorce with my Humax HDRremote. I hope this information is of help to you.

Well I have a YSP-800 now.

Set it up this evening and very very impressed. As I type Gene Hunt is narrating Lost World of the Volcano, from my TV with astonishing 3D-ness from the associated sound track.

HDR RC Seems to control all the key functions. I am happy so thanks for your help guys!
