I hope 'fire' wins best song. Only decent song on that list.

Same for me also. I'd like to see White Lies and Florence get something in their respective categories also with either Florence or Kasabian winning best Album. Why Doves continue to be ignored in these awards is a mystery as Kingdom Of Rust is the best album I've heard all year.

The only two I rate from that entire list are Muse and Blur.

Best Track nominee - Dizzee Rascal - 'Bonkers' - for god sake, how on earth can this be in anyones best of list?

The Q awards do make me laugh. They produce their own short list of 5-6 tracks per category, then claim 'as voted for by the readers and listeners of Q magazine' allowing the public vote on the shortlist but then reserve the right to make the final decision themselves.

Best Live Act
The Prodigy
U2
Oasis
Kasabian
Arctic Monkeys
Blur
Take That

well that shows either music from the British Isles is trapped in a time warp...or Q continue to fail miserably at having their finger on the pulse. Or both. 5 of those 7 acts have been around since God was a boy.

Why does that mean they can't be best live act?
