I have been given this today, its a 5 CD Changer. It didn't open the tray but i have sorted that, now it won't detect cd's and the disc skip button doesn't make the changer motor move to the next disc.

There is a plastic screw in the bottom in a hole, this when turned one way makes it manually open (when off), turning it the other way makes the disc read mechanism come up. I think this is not in the right position which makes it act weird?
