I think it'll either be tonight or tomorrow but I kind of hope it is tonight so it will be good fun I hope and I can't wait to see Austin again as well he is so gorgeous and I am a big fan of Camilla.

If Tom is filming Waterloo Road then I would like to think that they may invite him back to dance somepoint in the series. The ideal point could be the semi finals when there is usually a showdance demo

They are good friends, but in professional terms I doubt Erin would be completely happy about it. I wouldn't be- she's the one who taught Austin (and he danced a good deal better than Tom on the whole), and although they'll surely mention that Austin was her partner, if someone else is dancing with him it doesn't have the same effect in showcasing what she is capable of doing for her partner.

I don't really buy the "one big happy family" side of Strictly. To an extent I imagine they are all on friendly terms, but dancing is a competitive sport and I'm sure underlying the friendly atmosphere there is sometimes tension and resentment.

So much 'tension and resentment' that Camilla was a guest at Erin's wedding?

btw...Whether Austin or Tom were better dancers is a matter of opinion - IMO Austin was the better ballroom dancer and Tom had the hips for the Latin

Though Austin's jive was the best.

.............not to mention an "interesting" face for the paso

I won't argue with that fancynancy But for the dance-off last year I honestly believe we'd have had a Final that would have been the best yet!

Hi SR! At least you can give Tom the credit of saying himself that he thought he looked a 'complete prat'

I forgot about the Jive.

It probably will be that that they'll re-create tonight, as it was the one he repeated when he came back in the final.

Yes. I think they are friends but when it comes to Strictly or dancing in general they are competitors, and I really don't see that Erin is going to be a hundred percent happy about this. It probably applies a bit less in their case as Camilla isn't competition any more and obviously they never competed professionally, but even so if Austin is appearing it's a little chance for Erin to get a bit of airtime which she now doesn't get.

Also, the cynical part of me thinks that if you want to sell your wedding to a celeb magazine, you will have to invite a few celeb guests to get the money rolling in. Not saying it's true in this case, but I wouldn't take that on its own as a cast iron proof of them being BFF.

Sorry if it sounded as if I was claiming Austin being better as a fact... to be honest I wasn't too bothered either way but it was definitely my opinion that Austin was stronger. And if there were a case for saying Tom was better, I'd have said it was in ballroom, not latin. His Foxtrot, AS and Quickstep were his strongest routines for me. I wasn't fussed on either of their latin really but I thought Austin was a bit less cringey (OTT Paso aside).

I doubt Tom is best pleased either - i can't see him filming for a TV show as a good enough reason for not doing it. He was filming for Holby when he was doing the show full time so reprising a dance he has already done shouldn't have taken much time.

I wonder what the real reason is

I'd hate to think Erin would stoop so low as to invite someone to the biggest day of her life for publicity purposes Katie Or that Camilla would accept just to get her face in the papers

I think it's fair to say that they are competitors, but they are allowed some human traits as well, surely?

Yes, definitely. That was just an aside really, my main point is that whatever friendship they have outside Strictly doesn't necessarily translate to not having any feeling of self-interest at something relating to their professional lives.

Although I must say that I find it a bit sad that anyone would "stoop so low" as to sell their wedding, whatever the sum of money involved
I was reading some of the lowdown on one celeb wedding that was sold, and apparently the bride's family were all directed to buy their outfits at a particular shop, because the magazine feared they were going to turn up in "chavvy" outfits!

Tom's character has been mentioned over the last few weeks on Holby City giving me the impression that he might just (hopefully! ) put in an appearance sometime soon
