Holby City not recording?

On the last 3 weeks on the trot Holby City has failed to record but the box has set itself up for the following week as if it has recorded (yet nothing is in the record list).

Anyone else had this issue. I am getting grief off the wife bout it.

I'm usually a week behind with Holby. I watch the previous week while recording the latest edition. I have never had a problem with recording

PS I notice you reside in Scotland - Try recording another BBC region - London for example

yep same happened here - I cannot understand why! I haven't changed any settings or anything....and its only Holby City that failed to record all other schedules are ok.

Are you recording (or trying !!) from BBC Scotland or BBC HD?

If it is from BBC Scotland, it is because the numpties at the BBC only put a Series CRID on it with no Prog CRID, this is unpredictable at best (some may record), and generally doesn't work at all, the timer just moves on without recording.

I did some analysis on BBC Scotland a while ago, for a member of another forum who was having problems. BBC mainly (but not always) seem to do this when the programme is shown at a different day/time to the rest of the UK, because of regional scheduling. e.g. Holby is shown in most regions on 22nd this week, but on BBC Scotland River City is showing, so they show it on 24th when other regions get New Tricks; but I really can't see why they code it up differently.

As another poster says, set up your timer from another BBC region and you will be OK, but the above is the explanation as to why.

However, if you were recording from BBC HD, then I have no idea
