I've heard that the new Chidlren in Need single will be a cover of the Beatle's ''All You Need is Love''.

There are several people singing it including: Sir Terry Wogan, Paloma Faith, Cara Dillion, Hayley Westenra, Sharon Corr, Lee Mead, Beth Rowley, Peter Gabriel, Bryan Ferry, Hugh Cornwell, Roger Taylor, Jamie Cullum, Midge Ure, Amelda May, Heather Small and Cerys Matthews.

Don't want to cast a shodow over this but I have a feeling this might be another Children in Need single flop. Even CIN singles released by The Spice Girls and McFly (both huge groups especially The Spice Girls) didn't make the top ten.

Will this is be a hit or a miss?

McFly's is the least selling ever. Spice Girls didn't do too much better SO why are they thinking Terry Wogan will? If the biggest girl band the world has known can't get them to number 1 then he sure won't.

Very true!! The only decent musicians there are Heather Small and Jamie Cullum the rest of them are pretty lame.

Why didn't CIN link up with JLS instead of this hopeless bunch? JLS are really popular at the moment and they're releasing a single around the same time as this!

I was suggesting CIN should hook up with JLS because their single is most likely to get to #1.

I really doubt this collaboration of these singers (most of them nobody has heard of or have been away from the music scene from ages) will get to #1 or even the top ten.

The line-up there is awful. They've really scraped the barrel with some of those lot haven't they? I predict at least top 20 just because it's for charity.

JLS is a good shout. No-one in that line up would inspire to pay money for a track.

If them singers had a chance like the x factor at the start of their career, they would have jumped at it as well.

I'm really disappointed with the choice of song, I never even liked the original version. No wonder the Comic Relief songs do so much better than the CIN ones.

I agree. I think it's one of the worse Beatle's songs. The rest of their songs are great.

I never liked 'With A Little Help From My Friends' much either, but the majority of other Beatles songs were as you say, great.

SO why are they thinking Terry Wogan will?
Because Wogan has the mighty backing of his Radio 2 audience, who bought and downloaded huge amounts of his Xmas single last year

I presume they are going to be trying to recreate how popular the Perfect Day cover was?

And what are the thoughts about it now? I saw it last night on the show, and thought that it was absolutly brilliant.
