:: Rate the performances out of 10!
What would you award each couple? Perhaps if this proves popular, we could make this a regular fixture?
Similar to the judges, rate each performance of the night (rate realistically!) out of 10. ![]() Rav & Aliona = 5/10 Ricky & Erin = 6/10 Chris & Ola = 7/10 Martina & Matthew = 7/10 Jade & Ian = 6/10 Lynda & Darren = 4/10 Ali & Brian = 8/10 Joe & Kristina = 5/10 Highest rated couple(s) = Ali & Brian Lowest rated couple(s) = Lynda & Darren |

Rav & Aliona = 6/10 (I can't put my finger on it but I did quite like it.)
Ricky & Erin = 4/10 (I really didn't like it) Chris & Ola = 7/10 (The face was rubbish but I liked the rest.) Martina & Matthew = 6/10 (Needs work but I liked what I saw.) Jade & Ian = 6/10 (Same as Martina. Def has potential.) Lynda & Darren = 5//10 (It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either.) Ali & Brian = 8/10 (She's the best we've seen so far.) Joe & Kristina = 3/10 (I was disappointed.) |

Hi all. Well usual first night nerves but great show.
The results from my armchair are as follows:- Rav & Aliona - 5 Very flat feet Ricky & Erin - 6 Quite nice Chris & Ola - 7 Impressed the guy has a bit of rhythm Martina & Matt - 5 Underwhelmed Jade & Ian - 6 Not graceful enough Linda & Darren - 5 Hysterical but don't keep in for better dancers Ali & Brian - 8 Charming but not sure about Latin ability Joe & Kristina - 4 Appalling I also want to give Bruno a 10 as his comments were so funny tonight. Group dance, Ricky looks really good and Richard and Jo look terrible. Pro dance..terrific. Thank goodness its back!!! |

Rav = 4.5/10 (stumpy and stompy, not pretty)
Ricky = 5.5/10 (looked petrified, but good flow) Chris = 7/10 (surprise of the night) Martina = 6/10 (quite stiff top half, not yet natural) Jade = 6/10 (again same problem with Martina) Lynda & Darren = 5/10 (she looked frightening and frightened) Ali & Brian = 8/10 (easily the most elegant and best of the night) Joe & Kristina = 3.5/10 (absolute rubbish) Highest rated couple(s) = Ali & Brian Lowest rated couple(s) = Joe and Kristina |

Rav & Aliona - 4 (A nice performance didn't cover up the techical faults. Horrible posture, arse sticking out and massive gapping)
Ricky & Erin - 6 (He could be very good if he conquered his nerves and relaxed. Those tense, hunched shoulders were the biggest problem) Chris & Ola - 7 (The boy done good. He performed it very well for a non-performer and his hold and posture were nicely tight. Good job Ola!) Martina & Matt - 6 (Again, could be good but a few little errors/stumbles crept in there. Performance was fair enough but I always think that's a little hard to judge based on the waltz). Jade & Ian - 6 (Yet more potential. She needs to find some grace from somewhere though which obviously doesn't come totally naturally to her. Didn't always finish her lines with her arms.) Lynda & Darren - 5 (She gave it her all! Not totally horrible technique wise, but not sharp enough) Ali & Brian - 8 (Brian's got lucky. I wasn't expecting much from her but she was lovely.) Joe & Kristina - 3 (He looked totally vacant, almost like he was wondering if he'd left the oven on. Also worry about his movement in Latin because he seemed almost incapable of turning his hips in when required.) |

Rav & Aliona = 5/10 (Very nervous and kind of stiff but in time and I think may be a candidate for a J...for lots of improvement through the series)
Ricky & Erin = 6/10 (Nice but forgettable) Chris & Ola = 6/10 (Good but a bit of a funny face :S) Martina & Matthew = 7/10 (I thought this was good and had loads of potential) Jade & Ian = 5/10 (I thought this wasn't as good as everyone made out to be. When she was in hold she was much better but at the beginning she reminded me of some of the little kids I teach who want to do ballet "to be like a princess") Lynda & Darren = 3/10 (Just plain terrible, poor Darren has another Gloria on his hands) Ali & Brian = 8/10 (Lovely, I'm excited for Brian this series) Joe & Kristina = 5/10 (I thought he was SO nervous like I've never seen someone on Strictly as nervous as him before) |

Rav and Aliona: 5/10 - Needs to sort out his staccato rhythm, posture (which is strange considering he was in the army) and gapping. Had plenty of drama though.
Ricky and Erin: 7/10 - I enjoyed the dance overall, but he was a bit stiff. What the hell was he doing with his face??? The poor guy looked so dopey I couldn't take it totally seriously. Chris and Ola: 6/10 - I honestly throught it was going to be a 'dis-ah-ster' but he was my surprise of the night. Good choreography from Ola. He did seem to lose dramatic focus through the dance, which led to loss of atmosphere. Martina and Matthew: 5/10 - Needs to work on her upper line. Spotted a mistake when she slipped after the spin, though. Quite elegant though. Jade and Ian: 5/10 - Her neck line looked too stiff, she didn't move her head with the rest of the body which made her look ungainly. Lynda and Darren: 5/10 - Needs to choose a character and stick with it. Had drama here and there, but not consistently. Ali and Brian: 8/10 - Best dance of the night, smooth, elegant. Again, I thought she made a slight mistake after a spin where she was trying to fall into Brian's arms at the start but had to make a quick adjustment. Joe and Kristina: 4/10 - I think he can and will do a lot better, but froze on the night. He forgot his head movements, and his whole body was too stiff. No charmisa came through. |

Rav and Aliona: 4/10 - I really like his personality and he's hot, but my that body can't move!
Ricky and Erin: 5/10 - he looked absolutely petrified and Erin looked like she couldn't really be bothered anymore... Chris and Ola: 6/10 - Ola in with a chance finally?! He seemed quite good, though I wasn't a fan of her choreography. Martina & Matthew: 5/10 - she has potential but she needs to sort out a lot of technical niggles. Jade & Ian: 5/10 - meh. She threw herself into it but it looked like she thought she looked much better than she did. Maybe trying too hard? Lynda & Darren: 3/10 - poor Darren! They'll stay in for a few weeks on the audience vote though I reckon. Ali & Brian: 7/10 - she was good but she wasn't that good: some lovely lines but quite jerky moving across the floor Joe & Kristina: 3/10 - car crash dancing... |

Rav and Aliona: 6/10 He had the right attitude for the dance but he needs to improve on his technique. He was very stompy!
Ricky and Erin: 5/10 He looked nervous, needs to use more of his acting skills as his facial expression looked as if he was at a funeral. Chris and Ola: 6/10 Much better than i thought he was going to be. Another celeb that needs to work on his acting skills as he looked like he was holding in a fart during the performance. Martina and Matthew: 7/10 I enjoyed this waltz and i felt that they were undermarked slightly by the judges. She made a few mistakes but she was graceful and elegant. Jade and Ian: 5/10 I thought she would be so much better than she was. She has potential and i think she will be much better at the latin dances. Lynda and Darren: 5/10 She looked scared to move her body. She needs to stay in character for the whole of the dance, not just at the beginning. Ali and Brian: 7/10 Best dance of the night! Brian and Ali look great together and her legs extensions are beautiful. Joe and Kristina: 3/10 Kristina was doing all the work! Joe looked bored, i was bored, the audience was bored, it was just a very boring dance. |
