I like to see the floor covered too, and good footwork, especially from men as you see their feet more.. its early days and I can see some really good dancers coming out the woodwork once the nerves and counting the steps goes.

I can't believe people think Natalie's size 16, short women always get accused of lying about their size. Natalie can only be 5ft 2 tops so what ever size she looks she's a size smaller than that. To me she looks about a size 12.

I agree - I believe she is a 14. She may have chunky thighs but that does not mean she isn't a 14. OK she wouldn't get into size 14 skinny jeans, but that does not mean she is not a 14 in general.

I have seen size 18 women with skinny legs so you can't judge someone's size on yourself.

It may be some of her is a 14 and other parts a twelve. That vile dress last night probably made her look about 3 size bigger than she is.

I'd agree with you there too, her outfit was shocking and didnt suit at all.

Natalie seemed game. Brendon looked like he was a bouncer trying to eject some drunken old glamour model.

Craig Kelly didn't escape my attention - that's going to be woeful.

The whole thing looked more like the point at a wedding when all of the relatives kept up and try to dance.

I think Natalie looks great there is nothing wrong with her, she was great last night not like Craig who seemed to be hiding in mambo group dance

Didn't think her costume was very flattering but I thought Natalie danced well last night. Looks like she has good rhythm at least which is a great start. And she showed a lot of enthusiasm in the dance.

I'm looking forward to seeing her dance next weekend to get a better idea of how good/bad she is.

Good post! I am thoroughly fed up on people being judged on size. This is a dance competition and she should be judged on her ability to dance...nothing else.

I often wonder if those fms, who so vociferously criticize others for their looks, would care to post photos of themselves so we can all have a good laugh at their weight, size of their noses, hairstyle, bandy legs, etc., etc. Or are they all such perfectly formed, beautiful people?

I don't like her but its got nothing to do with her size. She did look like she was enjoying herself and did go all out for it last night which I think is a good thing.

I hope she does alright next week, I thought her costume was horrid last night but as I said she was enjoying herself and gave it a go and looked comfortable which you have to respect.

Thanks. Me too. Its very easy for us all to judge isn't it, sat here behind our computer screens, very easy to slag off people for what they look like. Its about time we got behind the ones that don't look the same as the others and give them a bit of support, instead of resorting to playground bully tactics where you pick on the one that's different.

I hope she does really well. She can take inspiration from Letitia Dean too - she got judged and slagged off but did really well in the end, and looked great by the end of it. Not that Natalie doesn't look good now.

Remember the Roly Polies anyone? Those older round women that used to appear on (was it?) the Les Dawson show. They all must have been around a size 18 but boy could they dance.

Natalie has very chunky wobbly thighs but her arms and shoulders are nice and she goes in at the waist. She had a great sense of rhythm and should be given a chance - and hopefully a better costume

I couldn't take my eyes of Natalie, for all the wrong reasons. Why would you buy breasts that look like over stuffed sausages? What is that all about, she looks like she sleeps with them in a funnel or something, the most bizarre shape. And I am not going to enjoy Victor's inevitable flirting with the fat bird either, that is going to make me cringe.

I like her very much as a person though, she has a good sense of humour and is down to earth. I am hoping she is going to do well.

She says she doesn't like how they look any more - because of her shifting weight, they've gone saggy and she wants them doing again to look like they did when she first had them done. (I only know this from the magazines lying around at work - I'm not an avid follower of Natalie Cassidy's life... )

I would think a 14 as well, remember as well as battling a horrifically unflattering dress, she was also standing next to extremely slim pro dancers and the extremely slim Lalia, Zoe and Jo - I'm a size 12 and would look like an elephant next to those girls.

Sorry to bring up Big Brother, but if anyone remembers Kinga (if you can't mention of a wine bottle should help ), she was variously described as fat etc on the show - I saw her in the street just after BB and the girl was seriously tiny with a stunning figure

Bless her she looked like she was wearing a sparkly red nappy.
