Yep, I'm so glad she's got a chance of a decent run this year

so am I, she had alot of un-necessary flack last year and I hope this year gives her the chance to show people that she can choreograph good routines for her partners

Matt has bought her a pair of wedge wellingtons!!!! apparently Aliona is 'glittering them up' ready to be revealed on the 1st Oct!

They've both been tweeting about Matt's hips not working - wonder does that mean they're doing the cha cha, you don't need hips very much in the waltz!!!

Only problem is all the couples at this rate are donig cha cha, haven't heard of anyone doing the waltz!

My thoughts exactly - I came to the same conclusion - unless they are practising both..........

Would it not make sense to do at least some basic latin steps (and get those hips nice and loose ) even if they have the waltz. They have 3 weeks to practice this time after all but only 1 between dance 1 and 2. So it is pointless to only do one style then have to start the other totally from scratch with a very limited timescale.

it would - depends on the time that they have seeing as Matt is still very working on Countryfile I am sure they are practising some of both

I thought there was a show Friday and Saturday of the first week proper.

No, they don't have to learn 2 dances, their second dance is the second weekend. There are 2 shows the first weekend, but each couple only dances once.




I'm loving Aliona on Twitter this series btw, some great info about their training, and she has the most random conversations with people! But it's lovely how she's always wishing other people good luck with training, and I thought it was really nice how she tweeted Ola last night to check she's doing ok while James is in NY
