I'm sure Aliona could put a great routine together to this song next series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkG_i-WSmjc |

Aliona photographed by a photographer who knows what she looks like.

I hope Aliona has provided enough eye candy for them to leave her to relax and have her holiday now.
I was thinking back to the half-speed section at the start of Aliona's Tango with Matt and wondering if there was scope for some even slower motion ballroom dancing in a routine - a bit like this, but with ballroom dancing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXO-jKksQkM |

A few sets of 'never-looked-better' glamour shots can't be a bad way to celebrate a 28th birthday.
The British way is to expect stedfast modesty in preparation for the 'let-herself-go' papperazzi shots, as part of the set-em-up, knock-em-down British tradition. My personal favourite photo was No.7 in this set http://www.seiska.fi/bikinibeibet/_a...ppu+nakyvissa/ closely followed by http://www.splashnewsonline.com/wp-c..._003-wm900.jpg |

Such an honour for Aliona and Harry. So deserved. I felt Aliona was being sidelined for a while but needn't have worried. So pleased Aliona will be on SCD again in the autumn. |

![]() IMO I dont think any pro deserves a duffer!!!!! I honestly dont know, I havent seen many male names being suggested on the forum apart from Micheal Vaughan and Nicky Byrne I would like to see her paired up with an actor |

I'm hoping they try to get a lot more celebs with potential so the pros will have a chance to produce better dance routines. My choice would be about 7 who could be taught to dance well and another 7 who could provide something else. Bringing on celebs who dont make an effort is a waste of time. It doesn't have to be a succesful effort if they can be entertaining or even interesting.
I knew nothing about Matt Baker before he was on Strictly and was very impressed with his personality, outlook on life, enthusiasm, standards, capacity for doing anything and adventurousness. Didn't learn as much about Harry and even less about Rav. I've suggested a few celebs for this year's but the only man among them was Steve Backshall who is a wildlife show presenter. No idea if he could dance, but he seems a good sort. A bit like Harry in that he wouldn't have any problem lifting Aliona. http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/leisure/t...York__June_16/ |

totally agree with you fatskia about celebs who dont make an effort (Anne Widdecombe immeidately springs to mind!!)
The pros have enough hard work to do without the added headache of a celeb who just doesnt give a damn!! In my ideal Strictly all the celebs would have the potential to win but I know that isnt realistic I knew nothing of Matt or Harry before they did Strictly either but found them both to be brilliant partners for Aliona. Rav, IMO, tended to listen to what the judges had to say instead of listening to Aliona and, again IMO, the celebs need to listen to the professional rather than the judges |
