Yes, Natalie was my pro champ of the series for what she did with Michael Vaughan. Aliona, Katya and Natalie all started together of course, one of the best decisions in SCD history

I used to be a big fan of Lilia and Darren, Matthew Cutler and Ian Waite. I also liked Katya. So I really hope I'm sitting there this year watching strictly and Aliona with a really nice celeb ”

I used to be too

Anyone seen the Show Stoppers DVD it's brilliant for Aliona fans, why do you think Len has a complete change of opinion more than once.

she is an extremely good teacher - I would probaby go as far as to say she is the best teacher Strictly has ever had

Gutted for Aliona fans. I didn't always like her routines but she was very creative and I enjoyed her partnership with Artem. She has been very quiet on the twitter front and didn't do the last tour so I did wonder.

Had a horrible feeling for a while about Aliona. Very sad, I suppose you have to be mediocre like the Jordan's to stay in the show, This is the year that my sky won't be used to record ITT or the show. The good thing is that the show stopper DVD has three wonderful Aliona with Matt and Harry dances to remind us of Aliona's wonderful and creative routines.

I hope Aliona has new projects lined up and we see more of Aliona with Matt Cutler

Very sad day!

Well it was good while it lasted.

A very entertaining few years where Aliona proved how good she was at the Strictly job.

I wish her continued success and thanks for the memories.

I thought the show went backwards last year. We shall see what happens this year, although with Vincent and Flavia also missing the new people will have to be very good.

The decision not to invite Aliona back has lowered my expectations.

I'm also totally gutted for her . I can think of a few more who should have went first if they wanted a change . It's not sour grapes but I don't like the way they just drop people who have made the show what it is without any loyalty .Following Twitter has put me right off the show - I don;'t buy all this always in the Strictly Family business - it seems to be more who you know and how much you can compliment the movers and shakers and other dancers . good luck Aliona with whatever your future holds . You'll always have the most memorable routines

So sorry to hear about Aliona leaving SCD. It certainly won't be the same without her. I've been unhappy with most of the changes over the past few years and this, along with Vincent and Flavia going, is the last straw. I won't be watching with any great enthusiasm from now on - if I watch at all.

Thank you Aliona for your wonderful, wonderful dances with Matt, and good luck for your future.

Yet another strictly favourite bites the dust, I won,t be watching this year I don't like the way the pro dancers get dropped and it's usually the ex-champions as well.
I wish Aliona the very best of luck with whatever she does next she can hold her head up high she's done some brilliant work at strictly I will still be watching her dances on you tube and have the Show Stoppers DVD where she is the only pro to have 3 best dances. Well done Aliona

Nice to see this tweet from Harry

Aww XX RT @mcflyharry @AlionaVilani that sucks. Best Dancer, Choreographer and most of all a great teacher. Wouldn't have won without you...

Told you he had a list of good qualities as long as your arm.
And as Len said, arguably became the best ballroom dancing man ever on the show.

Aliona cruizin - a free spirit.

All good things come to an end, but it's especially sad given her final (for now?) season was ruined by injury.

I guess as she was replaced her last actual series ended in triumph with Harry.

I'm baffled as to why this decision has been made. Apart from not getting far in her first series, she had nothing but success with Matt and Harry. Then there were outstanding pro dances with Matthew and Artem.

She is not replaceable as far as I'm concerned

I'm gonna miss Aliona on Strictly so much - she is part of 2 of my fave SCD partnerships - with Matt Baker and Harry Judd.

With Matt they became a really creative partnership together and that showed in their AS which is one of my fave dances from them along with their Samba, Tango, Foxtrot and Paso Doble.

With Harry they had phenomenal chemistry together and I loved every single dance they did but esp. their VW, AT, Quickstep and Cha Cha.

I think SCD was lucky last year that their competition was in decline.

Aliona brought something different to the show and overall what she brought was very much to the benefit of the show. Maybe no matter how good the pluses, you are not allowed to have minuses, or maybe it was just change for changes sake?

I cant say I have been overwhelmed by some of the decisions regarding the show - like having 2 producers, matching Colin and Kristina etc. - so they do make pretty obvious mistakes at times.

I think its always good to be true to yourself and I like Aliona very much and think her pluses far outweigh her minuses.

I just wanted to say good luck to Aliona and all her future endeavors. I'm sure she will be fine .

Thanks to everyone who has said nice things about Aliona and I sympathise very much with those that will really miss her.

Lilia went in a situation where several good pros went. The show does go on and sometimes a gem like Aliona appears on it.

Its a harsh job to be a dancer. I have developed huge appreciation of just how hard and insecure the job is and its only because the dancers love to dance that they will go through what comes with it.

Good luck to Aliona and I hope there are many producers out there who appreciate her many good qualities and she will entertain many more big audiences.

Strictly won’t be the same without Aliona. I am not going to take it as a bad thing. It could lead her to the open doors. She is a strong girl, very talented so I think she will be fine. She is free now so she might get an offer from the other channels, ITV for example if they do a seasonal or one-off dance related entertainment show.

Wishing Aliona the brightest and the best of luck for all the new doors she's going to dance through.

Really enjoyed Aliona on SCD. Look forward to hearing future news.

hey guys - I was just wondering whether to put together a scrap book for Aliona with messages from fans, photos from her time in Strictly but Im slightly unsure as to whether it would be a good idea or not.......

what do you think?

I had a soft spot for Aliona. I guess she is pretty sensitive at the moment. It could be well received or it could rub salt in the wound. See what others feel about it. So pleased I got to see her dance with Artem and Pasha. I particularly enjoyed the Rumba during Alfie Boe's singing.

I think it would be lovely, but probably best to leave it for a month or so while Aliona (and us fans!) come to terms with the disappointment.

There may be many more contributors sometime around October when her absence will hit harder!
