Reports from the tour have all been very positive so far.

It can be a difficult task to be the only individual slotting into an established team but the tour has started well and will only get better over the first couple of weeks.

Looks like that was Julie Maguire the female singer in that last photo, so maybe Aliona is still a blonde.

Was at the Anvil, Basingstoke last night.

Great to see Aliona there. She was head and shoulders above the other two girls from a dance perspective.

The show was great fun, but more or less a re run of last years.

You could tell that Aliona was the new girl in an established team. But it was only night three so I expect that will change.

I was just telling my mum about Aliona's engagement and showing her some pictures when Vinny walked straight past and sat down with the lighting guy just behind us!!

Also, I can confirm that Aliona is blonde along with the other girls.

That all sounds good. Its to be expected that it will take time for Aliona to be absorbed into the team, but she is very experienced on tours and I'm sure her value to the tour will be realised.
She has toured in the US partnering Derek Hough on the DWTS tour and the UK pro tour with Matthew Cutler so the dancing part should be fine.

It seems like a hectic schedule dancing night after night in different towns - that has to be difficult to get used to.

Nice to hear Vincent is going to shows and supporting her. While in a new environment its going to help to have him around at times, and he gets to appreciate what's involved in her job.

Hope they all stay healthy and the tour is a great success.

Only downside this year is it looks like the new year bikini era is over.

I wouldn't have expected that to be the case, but I also expected it would be a completely new show from last year. From what I have read it is much the same as last year but they have changed 4 dances.

It seems widely agreed that Brendan had a good SCD choreography-wise with Sophie and he does (like Aliona) tend to choreograph as he sees it and for the audience more than the judges. So I could imagine them seeing eye-to-eye on some choreographic changes - to freshen things up for fans who saw last years tour.

Good review from Cardiff. Seems well happy overall with the show but does mention a few minor timing issues. Sort of thing that can happen early in the tour and especially with a different layout at every venue and little time to get adjusted.

I think its 48 shows in about 58 days and almost all in different venues - hectic!

I was at Gateshead Sage last night and have to say it was amazing

It was Aliona joining that prompted me to get tickets, but I have to say I appreciate now what a great performer Brendan is, he knows how to put on a show.

Although Brendan is the star of the show, and Aliona the brilliant lead girl, I love how Brendan makes sure all the cast are appreciated, Patrick, Scott, singers Iain and Julie, Barry and his brilliant musicians.

Last but not least the girls Aliona, Crystal and Melanie who easily won the Girls v Boys contest, although are apparently 5-4 down on the tour so far. Come on girls

Just watched the show in Liverpool, Aliona was fantastic it was great seeing her dance live, I've not seen her on tour before and I wasn't disappointed I want to go and see it again.
I enjoyed watching the other dancers too, the band and singers where great. Brendan was brilliant he kept the show together very well and he's very funny.

Boy's v Girls they couldn't decide so they have gone for a draw and are now having a two day break.

I saw LTT in Manchester on saturday night

brilliant show, from start to finish - I saw it last year in Blackpool and although there are a few subtle changes (mainly in the second half) its basically the same show

Brendan really knows how to put on a good show and the addition of Aliona, IMO, is a brilliant one - I love Crystal Main too and any excuse to go and see her perform and I will be there but to see Ali too - brilliant - have just booked to see it again in Preston

Was really lovely to see Aliona after the show, I havent seen her in 2 years so it was fabulous to catch up, even if it was briefly and it was really good to meet Vincent too - what a charming, handsome man he is, they are clearly very very happy together and the ring - wow - that is a gorgeous piece of bling!

If anyone is thinking about going to see the show - go! Its full of energy, gorgeous ballroom dances and fiery fun latin too - the singers are great, Brendan is born to be on the stage and Aliona, Crystal, Mel, Patrick and of course his brother Scott are brilliant too

Can't blame you for going again OliveJ - sounds like it ticks almost all the boxes for you - and the surprise of meeting Vincent.

Melanie is also engaged so she has that in common with Aliona and Crystal seems to have the same attitude as Aliona to maintaining her standards in all 10 of the 10 dances when training.

Both Aliona and Crystal have the ideal CV's to be on the Strictly shortlist and it would make sense to me if Aliona and Crystal were both on Strictly next year. One way of upping the quality - especially if they both got reasonable celebs.

Crystal would be ideal for Strictly IMO, she was fabulous as part of the dance troupe, she is an amazing teacher and is very good at both latin and ballroom - wish they would make her a pro

I still remember the breathless, "Who's that girl?" fuss Aliona caused when she filled in a lead solo for Kym Johnson, who missed the first two shows of the last DWTS tour. She was so fantastic that Derek asked for her to continue dancing with him even after Kym returned.

We had to try to figure out her name by someone studying their tour program and deciding, through process of elimination, it must be Aliona Vilani. She won a lot of instant fans, and even the makeup ladies on tour were calling her a star.

Thanks for the Youtube link. Yes, Aliona can certainly get the men's attention in the audience. She is great at spinning and very expressive (especially with her arms)and she just seems to know what looks best.

Aliona also brings something different and she isn't scared to be herself and say what she thinks. The tabloids change what people say to something more controversial and strangely, a lot of people take the tabloid version of things as gospel. That has happened a few times with Aliona.

Its not popular at the BBC to say what you think but IMO the fault lies with the BBC. They should have management that can handle small things like that.

If Aliona could do her own tour, I'm sure it would be different from any tour we have seen before.

I absolutely love watching clips of that tour ~ the VW Aliona did with Derek is breathktaking, gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it - I really wish I had been able to see that tour live!

Nice to see a first action photo from the LTT tour.

I get the impression from the DWTS tour clips that they had slightly more exciting choreography than the UK Pro Tour.

The army dance from the UK Pro Tour was very good though. This clip includes the section that Aliona put into Harry's Jive that apparently wasn't Jive content when Harry danced it but was when Matthew did.
