Thank you teen wolf, what a show, Aliona was mesmerising and she looked stunning throughout her performances.

Sophie EB dances the charleston with Brendan as a special treat in the second part of the show.
We saw Sophie in the bar before the show waiting for her husband. I said to my husband guess who is behind you and she must of guested that she was spotted and turned away. They were in the front seats below us and then Sophie went off to get changed for her chat with Brendan on stage and dance.

It was well worth attending and very enjoyable evening. I hope Brendan asks Aliona to come back next year.

The girls won the dance off!

Thanks for the feedback Dancing-girl. That's great to hear and the show is consistently getting rave reviews.

Here is a review from that same show.

Last week of the tour, which by all accounts has been a great success.

Sold out audience of 2000 when I went - all of whom seemed to leave very happy.
Was very impressed with Brendan who kept the energy up for 2 hours and really didn't let the audience slack off at all - not that they needed much help. He makes the show.

The band was big and sounded great. Julie was consistently great at all the songs and Iain suited some more than others. He was excellent for the boy's song in the dance-off.
Aliona danced with that bit of extra ease and style. The Waltz was outstanding. So smooth it was like Aliona was made from liquid - very light liquid.
They all danced well and the show ran very smoothly, with great connection between all the cast and the audience.

I'd love to see Aliona on a tour which she choreographed.

Great to hear the show continued to delight long after I went.

Just want to know now if Aliona is coming back for Strictly 2014!

7 shows in 7 different venues in 7 days to finish!

They'll all be finished - and need a long break.

The tour seems to have been a resounding success and another new experience for Aliona.

Tours are very hard work, but Aliona seems to do very well in front of a live audience.
I'd like to see a tour where Aliona did the choreography. Could be interesting.

As for Strictly...

The show seems to be going away from the dancing it was based on, so Aliona's skills at 10 dance aren't valued as much as before.
There has been at least one celeb in recent years that I thought never got near his potential and I think he would have been much better if paired with Aliona, but they do have to share the opportunities around.

Not letting the pros do the pro choreography is another move away from previous years and there seems to be more and more interference in the choreography with the celebs too.

All in all, its less the show I liked - less Strictly come dancing and more Vaguely come dancing.

I watched it less than any previous year last year, but you never know, they may change direction again and Aliona may be back. I hope both happen.

Well the tour finally arrived in Glasgow ! It was fantastic ,everybody had a good view and felt close to the stage. Brendan came across well and enjoyed interacting with the audience . I just couldn't look at anyone else when Aliona was on the stage , everyone has already commented about how captivating she is and how effortless her dancing is . She was smiling a lot and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves too .I thought Brendan and Aliona looked great dancing together . For me she just does have something special .

Now the tour has finished, it left me thinking what would be my ideal Aliona tour be like?

Vilani choreography.
5 pairs of dancers to do a 3 pair group dance at the start of each half of the show and maybe a 5 pair finishing dance.
The best versions of the best songs chosen to choreograph to and instead of a live band, have really good sets, lighting etc.
The five pairs do one dance each in each half of the show.

Show starts with a compere/comedian and 4 audience seats at the side of the stage.
4 'members of the audience' come in, one at a time to find their seat.
First - an Italian cowboy (like out of Village People) who has just finished acting on a spaghetti western called Brokeback Pasta.
Second - a prudish Pearly King full of cockney rhyming slang and innuendo sayings.
Third - an ex-stripper called Darlene who is a bit of a lush and wants dances sexed-up.
Fourth - an Australian Bob the builder (out of Village People) who is always planning his next erection and each time he says 'daaarling', Darlene thinks he's talking about her.

After each pair danced their individual dances, the stage 4 would comment ( a bit like the Strictly tour), so the choreography would have to provide a good basis for the comments and comedy.

Aliona has tweeted about having had a lovely meeting with an SCD producer, so that is good news. I wouldn't assume any more from that, but its interesting.

I think more was made of Aliona not being originally hired onto the last series than the actual substance.
They did subsequently quickly hire Aliona when they could have used someone else and although they gave her the celeb with the least chance of survival, they did use Aliona for a lot of roles - Torvill and Dean, Matt Goss, Aliona and Alijaz, Aliona and Artem and the Titanium dance.

So I don't think the producers and Aliona had much of an issue between them and it was just a business decision not to originally hire her, as were the decisions to subsequently use Aliona quite a lot.

From Aliona's tweets, she and Vincent are getting married in less than two weeks from now!

Seems all the arrangements were done in about a week.

I bet everything will be perfect despite the speed - they both seem to have immaculate taste.

Just need the weather to co-operate.

Of all their photos, this one gives me huge confidence that they will stay very happily married.

she was planning it when she was on tour - many, many hours spent on a tour bus = plenty of time to plan a wedding

Yes - thanks olivej - I should have realised you don't leave it to 2 weeks before the wedding.

It seemed to be a great tour. Would still have been very good without Aliona, but probably gained from her being on it.
This is one of my favourite photos from the show.

Things have been working out very well for Aliona. I'm a believer that you can influence your own luck by working towards what you want to happen and there is more chance it will. Matt, Harry and Vincent are all great guys and all appreciate what a fine person Aliona is, and they were all lucky too - especially Vincent.

Thank you fatskia for the pictures.

What a wonderful location Aliona and Vincent have chosen to tie the knot. So romantic I wonder if Aliona is going for a beach wedding? They are very popular. We saw a couple on our trip to the island a few years ago.

We like cruising and St Tomas a popular call for American cruise ships with lots of duty free shops..... The prices for villas run into millions of dollars one of many facts and figures given to me on a trip to St John a very exclusive island near St Thomas where the very very wealthy holiday......

I hope and wish they have a long and happy life together

The US Virgin Islands look perfect for cruising around dancing-girl.

Not a surprise that Aliona and Vincent have gone for romantic, beautiful and stylish for the wedding.

The wedding industry version of a wedding was never going to be her style.

A beautiful coral island in the Maldives for their honeymoon. Perfect for some time just for each other and a great holiday spot.

Some photos of their island from this collection of photos from around the world.
Just zoom in to get to their island (Vaadhoo).

The way I look at those things Gill, is that their opinion only affects me if I think its got some value, and I am the one who decides that.

It seems they are looking forward to having a family. They may put that off if Aliona is offered a contract for Strictly, but it means if she isn't offered a contract, they have another option.

I found it interesting that Aliona said that Vincent adores her. Vincent certainly pulled out all the stops to win her heart. Anyone following Aliona's tweets could surmise that she adores him. They seem very relaxed together and Aliona's parents found them to be surprisingly alike, so I think they don't have to work at being a couple, its just natural. I guess that's what Anita recognised in Vincent - that he made her think of Aliona.
