Really enjoyed this season, despite Aliona's short involvement in the competition.
Looking forward to the Xmas show though.
Sad Aliona won't be touring with Brendan, still a great show though and we will be going again in 2015.
Anyone know if Aliona will be doing the Strictly tour?

I don't think Aliona is on the tour for next year. There is another thread with the info on the main board. I am returning my 02 tickets as I am not impressed with the line up and the new judging panel. I feel really short changed

Yes Brendan's tour was great - he is a great compere and really makes the show. Aliona was a great addition and more Aliona for your money than on the SCD tour was irresistible!
Looking forward to the Christmas show with Louis and Rachel competing and interested to see if they let Aliona do something special with Louis.
Brendan's site doesn't list a female lead (assuming there will be one.) It says there are 8 professional dancers but if you scroll down, only 7 are pictured. Wonder if there will be a female lead, like Aliona, and if so, who?

Fauve Hautot was the principle dancer Aliona replaced last year, due to injury.

Fauve is the principal dancer again this year
Personally I would have loved to have seen Aliona take the lead again as I dont really rate Fauve that much but never mind

Got tickets for Brendan at Gateshead. We could only get 4 seats together downstairs 5 rows from the back. Tickets selling fast. Won't be the same without Aliona, but still worth going to IMO.

Brendan still has to cast the final female dancer which is why there are only 7 photos
I see they got the Ferrari out of the garage for a pro dance with Louis. Nice to see that Louis got his hair cut for the occasion.
Louis and Flavia were great, and I supported them that series.
It seems that Louis and Aliona also works very well.

Looking forward to seeing Aliona in the Xmas special with Louis. I actually enjoyed this series despite Aliona's early exit. That is until the quarter final when we lost the best dancer, Pixie. Then we lost the most entertaining, Jake.

Quite a 2014 for Aliona.
Saw the year in at Aspen getting engaged.
Skied safely enough to avoid injury for Brendan's Tour - which was a great success.
Married in her twenties
on a beautiful Caribbean Island.
Honeymoon on another beautiful island in the Maldives.
Settled into life as Mrs Vincent Kavanagh.
Kept herself fit and ready and returned to Strictly for another year.
An unusual but well completed task with Gregg. Gregg responded in exactly the right way and I wish him a happy future with his wife to be.
No exceptional pro dances featuring Aliona this year, but Aliona and Louis seemed to really hit it off together, and an excellent pro dance before they lifted the Xmas Special Trophy, ended the year with a flourish.

The non-celebs have been announced. The RND show is on 13th March, but the contest is prior to that.

The Tour will exclude some of the pros, so given that Aliona has been a regular choice for Red Nose Day (they will want it to be a success and Aliona has been someone who can be relied on to get good results), I'd say she is likely to be taking part.
Training will be 5 weeks, as these people are likely to be beginners, so starting about 5th February or earlier.
Aliona said she and Vincent are on a 3 week holiday to Florida, but she usually stays on and does some skiing with her father too, but maybe not this year.
