My sentiments as well, so happy for Aliona, an amazing dancer and choreographer.
I loved Aliona with Matt, adored Aliona with Harry but I am in awe of Aliona's partnership with Jay. It's on a different level and so special.
I have tour tickets and was debating whether to keep or offer up for a charity raffle. So pleased I kept them, floor seats at the 02.

Keeping fingers crossed that Aliona come back in 2016 SCD would be a poorer show without her.

I don't agree with those that think she will quit now she's won twice. I think she will be back and they will give her someone with potential again. The ptb must now realise she produces something special when she does, more than any other female pro IMO.

Have to agree. Heads and shoulders above the other pro girls. They're great too, but Alionas dancing and choreography is in another class.

I've never really been a fan of strictly, but this year, Aliona & Jay have converted me!!! She is by far the best female pro on the show!!! So glad she won the trophy again!!! What a privilege to have been able to witness Jay & Aliona's progress on this series!! Will never forget it!

It was a very strange Series from Aliona, but all stemmed from Jay and the type of person he was.
Aliona is similar to Jay and I think of all the pros, she would understand him best.

To then protect, nurture and lead him through the Series - gradually reducing that as and when she should, was a new way of working with a celeb, and one I think only Aliona could do so well.

Plus she is the best hope he had of reaching his potential. I think if Jay could have taken being pushed harder, IMO he could have performed the dances a little bit better technically, but they would have lost other things and those things are more important.

Jay enjoyed it and when you enjoy things, you work hard, and the chemistry between them was a huge factor in their popularity.

Aliona has worked very well with less talented pros and for anyone who takes the time to check that thoroughly instead of accepting other's opinions the evidence is there.

Only with those with potential though, can you see the full range of a pro's abilities and the higher the potential, the higher the test of their ability. Jay had huge potential but it was all within Aliona's abilities to teach him (with a bit of help on the AT and Charleston).

One legacy is a set of WOW dances featuring Aliona. Aliona dances beautifully and looks stunning in the AT, but there are many more which are a joy to watch her dance in.

Plus they both have a new circle of friends.

And, more people appreciate what Aliona is really like now. She has done so much good work over the years without it being recognised, so I'm very happy that recognition is increasing.

Currently considering rampaging over the MF to defend my fave cold/aloof/moody/fake/nasty/disliked/perennially late/producer abusing/subversive song picking pro I know it's not worth it, but that gossipy apparent 'insider' is causing problems for no apparent reason.

I think she's completely wonderful and she clearly knows how to get results. Long may she reign etc etc

I'm happy with this decision. It's for the best. She's still relatively young and she should go out there and explore more opportunities.

She left on a high, having her best experience ever with her favorite dance partner .

I can't wait to see what will be her next adventure. Exciting times .

I'm sad, cos she's the best, but hardly surprised. She would've gone out in week 1 for the next 5 years. I'll still miss her but I'm glad it's on her terms.

What I really want is for her and Jay to get their last dance on next year's launch show, but obviously I don't know if that'll happen now.

The show has faded, but the best pro in the show hasn't - she's gone SUPERNOVA!

I feel a bit sad that she's going but I'm not suprised. I've really enjoyed watching her on strictly with her partners and those fantastic pro dances. Now I really want to know if I've got tour tickets for Christmas

I'll miss her so much. Thank goodness for the wonderful dances we have to watch from this series.

Beautiful and talented, Aliona will be missed. But she made the right decision for her.
