sad but not surprised at all

so happy she is leaving on a high

currently Strictly Champion - x 2!

well done Ali, you have been a shining star in an otherwise slightly stale show - your choreography is genius and your dancing is exquisite

you shall be missed lovely lady but wishing you all the best in whatever you move onto next

the world is your oyster girly - go conquer it

Gutted isn't the word

7 years. It's been a real roller coaster ride supporting Aliona. A bit feast or famine to be honest.

I've loved watching Jay and Aliona this year, but at the same time there has been a lot about this season that has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Aliona getting out seems like a good time to stop watching this show in future. I look forward to seeing Jay and Aliona on the tour. See that jive one more time.

The best dance.......EVER!

At the present time I won't watch again either. Loved her choreography this year. I loved the famine years as well because we got so many amazing choreographed pro routines.

My favourite pro routine starring Aliona:

I would love to see her do her own tour. I suggested it even before I knew that she would leave. She'll need a professional dancer who's still relatively popular . How about Mathew cutler ( I know that he and Nicole still teach so maybe when his schedule is clear ? ) ? I want to see her continue to dance.
Yes doing a tour demands funds but I'm sure that she can manage. I really cannot wait to see what she does next in her professional life 😤

I would totally see a tour that she was starring in.

Me too! I think it'd do well actually, she really seems to have won people over from her more outspoken days (still loved her then, ketchup hair and all ). Reading the DM comments on her departure- I know, I know- a large number agree that she was the best dancer Strictly had.

While the top post on that DM story isn't nice. The overwhelming majority of them are wonderful. I think Strictly is going to lose a lot of viewers next season!

My favourite was the hip hop samba with Matt Cutler

It's working in your quote, don't know why it didn't paste right.

Nah. ...I really don't think so. It's a great show and it will continue to do well .

I would guess the way to handle a Tour idea would be to pick a venue North of London that a lot of people can get to without having to pay for accommodation.

Do a trial run for some weeks and decide if a Tour would work.

I think the comments are the most pro Aliona I've ever seen, the way she's looking at Vincent in that pic is lovely!

I really think that's what she's going to do next. Her own tour. Hopefully, I don't jinx it. It can be lucrative, fulfilling as a dancer and plus she's very well known. Or maybe she's going to want to work in other areas of the entertainment industry ( television. ..? )
All these possibilities. ....this is really exciting

I know Kristina is somewhere thanking her lucky stars . For once, she's not the subject of tabloids headlines. Gosh. ...I didnt know that the dailyfail ( and other tabloids) had another story about her today until I read some of your posts.

Sigh........

All these articles speculating Aliona's private life ( which we really know nothing about ) should stop...... maybe they'll stop now.

Best wishes to Aliona in the future.
Three finals, two wins, AND an XMAS title too......she goes out at the very TOP of the Strictly pyramid.

My favourite SCD dancer....she was different to the others somehow.
Her partnership with jay was special......
maybe she just couldn't see that happening again anytime soon...
Anyway,
hope I speak for all on here when I say ....

BEST WISHES ALIONA, AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!

It's nice to see something appreciative about Aliona. Good news doesn't sell papers, so they have tended to concoct pretty much anything but, in regard to Aliona - and unfortunately there are people who believe the tabloids.

This is one of my favourite photos of this beautiful lady.

Well, just bought the calendar, I thought I'd better for keepsakes.
I have tickets for the 02 and want to savour seeing Aliona dance I think for a while.

I too am gutted but not surprised Aliona is leaving. I started watching Strictly by chance and caught Aliona and Matt Baker and really cannot get invested in any other pro. This will be my last series watching as Teeswolf has already said it left a sour taste in my mouth. In fact I think I could see where it was going weeks ,if not months ago.I am so glad she ended her time at Strictly not just by winning but by doing it on her (and Jay's) terms. The Final Paso will always be my favourite dance ,danced by my most favourite couple of all. I think theirs was an equal partnership in the final few weeks with both of them supporting each other. My admiration of Jay's integrity is on a par with my admiration of his dancing. You couldn't have written a better more emotional ending. I have tickets for the Tour and can't wait to see her dance one last time but I will so miss her though.

Ditto.

Not sure if I'll watch again without Aliona.

At least the last 3 years we got lots of pro dances and ITT appearances.

So glad I got tour tickets.
