Great video katt, I know Aliona has had some duffers on the main show but she has had some crackers in the specials. Her AS with Matt Goss is a favourite of mine, just sheer Hollywood style and glamour.

I'm also pleased you included her waltz with Tony Jacklin which, I thought, was a rather lovely effort from him.
ah, thank you!

I didnt include Johnny because he danced with Iveta on the main show, not Ali and I didnt include Gregg because - well, probably dont need to explain why I didnt include him!!!

No explanations needed!

It's a shame we never got to see Johnny and Aliona dance - I think they would have made a nice partnership.

Loved that compilation Katt.

As well as the Strictly dances, I really liked her AS with Matt Goss and loved her dance with Christopher Dean. That underwater dance with Harry was amazing!! Read somewhere Aliona only had 3 days to choreograph it.

Lovely!

Lovely!
She is phenomenal that one she learns choreography extremely fast which says more about her I read a tweet that she only had 5 minutes to learn a solo that she had to do on dwts tour 2009 I think it was the paso, but she also learnt the rest of routines that were done on the tour extremely quickly because she was a replacement and probably didn't have the time to learn choreography properly but still managed to look better than almost all the pros that performed on that tour.. What a replacement she turned out to be and that compilation video was amazing thank you Katt!

Totally agree. I think they'd have had a similar relationship to Jeremy and Karen.

It was very unfortunate for Aliona and Johnny, because Aliona said dancing came naturally to him, and she had upped his training time from 5 hours per day to 8 hours.
Johnny might have surprised people (as Aliona suggested) and proved a 74 year-old isn't too old for Strictly.

Great video Katt!

And yes, won't be the same without Aliona. The last three years (before last strictly) when she exited early, the program lacked her choreo and charisma for celebs but at least she was in the pro dances. It's going to be hard without those.
I know I will still tune in, but oh boy I will miss her!

Will miss Aliona too - Pros who can choreograph, teach, explain AND dance as well as Aliona are very rare.

Wish her all the best for the future, but hope she perhaps teaches a little, when she has time, to pass on her super skills

bib add to that charisma and proper personality (roll eyes included), really rare.
I hope she gets her family and then finds a way to use her talents back.

They are having a great farewell Tour.

I agree about Aliona's many talents. Maybe we will see Aliona involved in dance again. I love her choreography.

So last night I went to see the show with Mrs Teeswolf. Her Xmas present to me. It was a bittersweet experience I guess. Jay and Aliona were predictably awesome, and deserved winners.

Just to see that Jive was worth the ticket price alone. The rhumba weren't too shabby either

However, sadly, I couldn't help wondering if this was the last time I'd ever see Aliona dance

Please say no. If it's yes, well it's been great

So glad you enjoyed and loved Jay and Aliona, I'm afraid it could well be Aliona's last time dancing and what better way to go then to win the tour I just pray that the people vote for the best dancers (Jay and Aliona) and allow her to lift that glitterball one last time I'll probably cry if this happens *fingers crossed* were so close.

Another win this afternoon, one step closer to another tour win. I think I'm right that would be 3 tour wins from 4 tours. Must be some record?

One thing that annoyed me at Newcastle was Mel made much of Kevin getting to 3 successive finals, but no mention of Aliona being first pro to win twice. Hopefully that get's a mention on some shows!

Yeah it's odd.

Kevin 3 finals 3x runner up (unknown if 2nd or 3rd)
Aliona 3 finals 2x win 1x 2nd place

I thought the exact same thing when I was watching in Manchester

bittersweet

and yes, it was probably the last time for me - unless she decides to do a tour or something but I doubt she will do that

Johnny Ball.
Unfortunately Aliona got injured 9 days before their CCC and only danced with Johnny in the group dance at the end of the series.
