Just got chased from advice
calamity
19-09-2009
Ok is this the right place to be, not been in before, I just wanted to say that Tess Daly needs a new wardrobe advisor as her dresses are criminal for such a lovely figure, Ive been looking through some beautiful creations that Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day and others wore in films and Im sure Tess could up the anti with some much prettier dresses, the one last night was hideous, it looked cheap and old fashioned, and to put a black belt with a red dress was crass.. Red is difficult colour as it can look cheap if not the right material and cut, come on Tess you can do better than that..

Just saw your thread title in the New Posts bit and fancied seeing if I couldn't chase you round DS as well

But I didn't realise what your post was about, and I've never been in SCD before and MY GOD! ISN'T IT PINK!

Anyway, I've got nothing on topic to say about Tess's outfit as I didn't see it, but if you like I could chase you and your topic into the Fashion and Beauty section?

Come in you poor frightened thing.
you will be safe here:

The consensus seems to agree:
Tess has a great figure which BBC wardrobe seem to hate!

I'm not sure that the BBC Wardrobe Department actually choose her dresses. I think she has a stylist who sorts out dresses from various designers for her. They aren't made by the Wardrobe Department.

And the stylist needs to go to Specsavers!

I just wish that she would either change the "leg in the air" end to her little dance with Bruce, or wear a dress with a slit or a full skirt.

Every week she does that move in a sheath dress and I'm convinced either she'll fall over or the dress will rip.

Hi calamity! Yes, it was awful and the lack of proper post baby boob support was embarassing. Tess - get a decent bra love!
It was like watching two ferrets fighting in a pink plastic bag.

It can't have been for lack of space. They just don't agree on her fashion sense. Even ferretts don't always get it right either. Silly f*****s.

Tess looks lovely usually. Just one piece of advice. NO BELTS WITH LOVELY BALL GOWNS. Every time she is on I drive myself mad when I hear myself saying why is she wearing a belt with that? Why is she wearing a belt with that? Why is she wearing a belt with that? Tess, not every dress need a belt!

think Ill go on Tess's facebook and tell her to ditch the belt, it wastes the whole look, so many lovely dresses to look to for ideas.

I think her hairdresser likes her and her stylist doesn't!

She is so tall and elegant and could wear almost anything but always finds the thing that she shouldn't. At least it didn't have the flower/bow/god knows what on the shoulder that she's so fond of!

I don't know why she doesn't wear either something similar to the dancers or a shorter cocktail dress, she'd look great in knee length stuff if she needs to stay away from the sequinned/full length/ballgown look.

being so tall she can get away with fuller dresses near the hem like a Ginger Rogers style all chiffony and floaty with a clean neckline and deep v back. no fuss , frills, silly sleeves or bows.and definitely no belts.

I dont know how most celebs think this is the way to go, there is nothing nicer than a women with a lovely figure in elegant dress, surely they dont need to dress like this.

Tess Daly has NO friends in the wardrobe deparment. I've no idea what she did to piss them off but she will clearly be paying for it for eternity.

She must surely have a say in what she wears, god almighty that creation last night must have been someone on the bevvy forgetting the other sleeve and making it out of cheap polyester, or a curtain.

hehe So true calamity.

I've never really watched the show fully before last night, but on the odd occasion that I've flicked it over, she does seem to have bad taste in dresses. Surely this isn't down to personal choice? If so, then someone should give her a few pointers. She looked ridiculous in that get up last night.

They are Designer dresses that are loaned to her. Not from the Wardrobe Department at all.
