Samsung HD i8910 Battery life

Does this phone seem to eat up more battery life when you have low signal? I just moved and the signal around here is bad and I noticed I am charging it more often before I moved...

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is the signal you're getting 3G or H symbol? If so, even if it's a low signal, 3G and HSDPA usually eats up the battery a lot. You might want to change your network. Go to settings->connectivity->Network->Network mode, and change that to GSM only to save on battery. However, if you're browsing the internet, GSM signal only would tend to slow you down.

Most (all?) phones will do this, as they boost their power to try to gain a signal.
