Unchained Melody was covered by The Goons way back and was banned from being played untill only a few years back. The powers that be thought it was in bad taste.

I had to add Weird Al for those who haven't seen his parodies
Weird Al Yankovic - Fat Weird Al Yankovic - Eat It The fact that Michael Jackson gave premission and was happy for him to do a parady of his 2 songs is great. ![]() Some more - Smells Like Nirvana Like A Surgeon ![]() ![]()

I'm not usually a fan of parody songs, most of which are utterly unfunny, but I did like this one! "I am worser at superlatives"... very clever.Another good one is the London Underground song, although it would be better with a bit less bad language in it. Those guys (under the name "Amateur Transplants") have done a few quite amusing parodies, including Careless Surgeon and Anaesthetist's Hymn (both on YouTube if you search). |

I wrote a parody about Fifa 09 nearly a year ago (link below).
If your not into Fifa you probably won't get it but it was very well recieved on the EA forums. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...855&highlight= |

The Wurzels and the Barron Knights were the masters of parody back in the 70s...
...and Judge Dread had his moments! |

This one always makes me laugh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b90BR...eature=related Even though I'm a girl and definitely don't agree with it!!

Kevin Blloody Wilson does some great parodies, in bad taste I admit.
Try this first line of House Of The Rising Sun, made only just after the storms in the USA: There was a house in New Orleans that's now in Tennessee. He says he writes songs for all the best singers but it is not his faullt they won't use them. |

I thought of an idea for a parody. A parody of Beyonce's song "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" called Politicians (Put Some Spin On It). I haven't wrote it yet but have some lyrics in mind.
Prehaps we could have a DS Parody competition where you write a parody which can be about any subject. There would be about 3 judges who decide on who goes through. Im not sure how many rounds there would be. You won't need to post a video or audio file of your parody, posting the lyrics would be enough. If someone here is good at creating this kind of thing, tell me. |
