I hope Natalie Cassidy can dance better than she acts. Still with Vincent as a teacher she should go a long way in the competition as he is a brilliant teacher but then so is Matthew Cutler - sob, sob, sob.

I'm concerned that she will lose fans though by complaining too much. When they were showing them practising for the group dance on Friday's show, they cut to her for a couple of soundbites and from memory, they were both moans....

I don't know just how cruel they are debating about Natalie's size.
After watching the group dance I couldn't help thinking that Natalie could do very well. Dance is a good way of getting weight off and toned down.
Go for it Natalie. Show us what you can do.

I liked Natalie in Enders, so I will have my fingers crossed for her next week, plus I think Vincent is ace.

I thought she was one of the better ones in the group dance and for sure Shirley Ballas wouldn't have put her at the front if she wasn't good enough!

I really hope she does well and that the wardrobe department get their act together and give her some nice, flattering dresses unlike the awful things they've put Lynda in and the tents they put Letitia Dean in a couple of years ago.

Actually both Letitia Dean and Kat Slater (cant remember her real name!) were both roughly the same size as Nathalie and I dont remember a back lash about them!

Really? Most men I know would rather be with a slim woman than someone Natalie's size. I don't actually even believe what I wrote - I have no idea what most men want - same as you. But I am trying to point out how offensive your comment is to thin women!

My guess is different men like different things - some like overweight, some like skinny, some like in-between.

Hear hear”

I am always astounded by the hypocrisy of posters who combat negative comments about someone being overweight by slating thin women and saying men would prefer other women over them. It rather weakens your argument when you are doing exactly what you are ranting against, albeit to a different group of people (thin women).

I thought she looked great in her red outfit and good on her for getting her legs out. Natalie is a better shape than Leticia who didn't really have a waist but had a broad back yet the legs of a slim girl.

I am really glad Arlene isn't around this year with her fatist attitude as Natalie doesn't need that.

This.

I *hate* this notion of the "real woman" - meaning a curvy woman - there's the absolute implication that a thinner woman is therefore not a real woman, or something worse purely because she's thin. It's exactly the same thing as calling a larger woman names because she's larger.

Can we not just move on from the whole topic of weight? What does it matter if they're size zero or size thirty?

YES. It made me so mad when Coleen in DOI was telling people to vote for her because she's a "real woman" and because Jessica was slim, she must there be some kind of robot or android.

Most men would prefer to be with someone with a god personality that they find attractive. Some men may find (relatively!!) larger women attractive, and other men may find slim women attractive.

I thought she stood out in the group dance, for the right reasons! Best rhythm and enthusiasm.

That is a disgusting thing to say. Natalie Cassidy is not my favourite actress (because she can't act) but to make a swipe like that about her weight is ignorant and catty. You have a mind like a bee's arse. I do hope she doesn't read this thread. It is people lke you, currysocks, bullies of the first order, who are partially responsible for young girls developing eating disorders. Comment on her dancing by all means but she is a healthy weight and thank goodness she is not a skeletal Size O.

She looked like she really enjoyed the group dance. I'm looking forward to seeing her next week.

Think the focus should be on Nat's dancing ability and what she gives in her performance. Her weight is irrelevant and personally I think she looks stunning.

Is that the only criterion to consider then, what men look for in women? What about how the woman feels about herself, whether she is healthy, whether she gives a flyer about endless debates about weight or just prefers to get on with her life?

Natalie Cassidy looked to be enjoying herself in the group dance, unlike one of the other female celebs who seems to spend the whole time on the dancefloor looking as if she is about to burst into tears. I would rather watch the former.

Can people please stop going on about her weight?

She has enough problems with her face and voice.

I think the wardrobe department have a lot to answer for. Is there someone working there who hates larger women do you think? Lynda Bellingham was dressed like an Edwardian lampshade for one of her dances, and Nathalie in uninterrupted red - not a good idea, and why was her outfit shorter than everyone else's??

They did the same last year with Jessie Wallace, and before that with Letitia Dean (with the exception of one beautiful dress).

Errrr yes they do The fact that she appeared in the press only last year looking like a baywatch model, and then re-appears this year looking like a rolly polly-o-gram would suggest her head's all over the place

I think she'll be a more enthusiastic but less co-ordinated version of Jessie Wallace

IM sorry but I really think you have to be slim to look the part of a dancer, Natalie is one brave girl though , and good luck to her.
