This is one of the nastiest threads I have ever seen on this board. It is like watching school bullies in the playground.
currysocks I had no idea there was any such thing as '
the fat women vote' and I'm sure you will be glad you didn't bet any money on Natalie Cassidy not being able to dance as clearly she can (at least according to world renowned dance expert Shirley Ballas).
The sad thing is that you seem to think you are supporting 'curvier' women (three size 12/14 models on a catwalk - big deal), when quite frankly judging by your comments on here your whole attitude towards women is appalling! Do you honestly think women are overweight because they don't know about healthy eating and exercise? It is much more about self esteem than anything else!
Yes, Natalie (why not use her first name instead of calling her 'Cassidy' in such an aggressive manner?) made a keep fit DVD and yes, she will have made money from doing so.
BUT you are missing the point.
I don't watch EE and I am not a 'fan' of Natalie, but the reason I admire her is because
after losing all that weight and making the DVD, she then spoke out
publicly about how she regretted it. She told the media that she realised how impossible it was for her to maintain such a thin body shape in a healthy way - that missing meals and taking laxatives was no way to live her life.
That is an excellent message to send to all 'your girls' who want to look like Cheryl Cole, etc. Believe it or not, unless you have a small frame and are naturally very slim, eating healthily and exercising will not result in the body shape that most young women still aspire to be.
So how do you encourage 'your girls'? Is is by saying, "Don't eat that...run faster...put more effort into it... or you'll end up looking like Natalie Cassidy?" I'm sure that will help them build a positive body image as they go into their teen years.
