HELP ! TV on the blink

Right while watching the west ham game tonight, the TV (Phillips Plasma 3 years old) suddenly started displaying strong green and red thick bands of noise accross the screen, it's on all channels, (freeview, hdmi, tv) so is a tv fault.
Any ideas what this is and have I got to go shopping tommorrow ?

The diagnosis could be contained within your post.... its a Philips! Sorry, but I've only had one Philips product that has been reliable, and that is a steam iron, and if you look around here you will find that they are not all that popular.

Hopefully someone who knows their stuff like Nigel Goodwin will be along soon to give you a more knowledgeable answer.

No better than you I'm afraid, it's a Philips - end of story

Although if he lived locally I could point out the local Philips service people.
