Does anyone know of a good aluminium-free natural deodorant? I used aromacreme from lush but they have discontinued it.

Have tried the crystal but it doesn't work for me.

I can't really use most of the sprays, I'm not allergic or anything but I find them uncomfortable after a while. Roll on varieties are useless as they just leave a sticky wet patch that just seems to mask perspiration for a while. I don't perspire that much but it is noticeable when I do. Can't exactly wash when you're out and about can you?

As a male, all they seem to do is that dreadful lynx stuff or cheapo ones that don't work and irritate after a while. The anti-persp leaves an awful white mess. I do like the Nivea mens deo spray though as that seems to be ok with me.

Occasionally I even use, when I can get away with it, a womens (natural scent) spray as they aren't so harsh on my underarms. My skin is fairly sensitive here and I keep them shaved too as it's more hygienic.

These look like good ones to me if you want aluminium free http://www.spiritofnature.co.uk/acat...eodorants.html

Might be looking round myself too for something that's scent free.

Hi,

I use Pitrok, which is made of salt minerals. It stops the bacteria growing which cause the smell. The stick itself is odourless.

The one I have comes in stick and you rub it on when you're just out of the shower. It only failed me slightly on the really hot days in summer, but most of the time its fine.

For less hassle, you could go for the spray, but it doesn't last as long as the stick. I've had mine about 6 months now!

take a look at this website - www.pam.myflbiz.com

If you go to shop now then find personal care - the Aloe Ever-Shield Deodorant stick is excellent. No aluminium salts, last for ages and really, really works.

I use both Pitrok & Neal's Yard lemon & coriander deodorant together. (Also available in lavender & aloe). Which I find highly effective. It's not let me down so far.

However I keep a conventional deodorant for going out dancing & the hottest days of summer - just in case.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I used to use Pitrok, but for some reason it stopped working. Might be an idea to use it in conjunction with something else as Christa suggested.

Deoderant stones are good if you're not doing a lot of exercise/heavy work etc. If you sweat a lot then they're probably not strong enough.

I've been using Bionsen for a few weeks as it's aluminum and parapen free, and I find it good, if a little overpowering as it's Japanese Spa Minerals and it really does smell like spa minerals, so a little goes a long way, and I will be using less from now on. Think it was about £2.64 from Superdrug, so a little more expensive, but it's safe and the smell lasts, meaning you only need a quick roll under each arm for it to do the trick.

Hi Stargirl1,

Try "Tend Skin." It was developed to help minimize the "red dots" that sometimes show up after waxing or shaving.

Customers noticed that when they used it on their underarms, it worked great as a deodorant and antiperspirant. Also, the active ingredient is aspirin.

Here is the website:

Hope that helps!
