What a farce.

I'm sure this has been covered but I think SCD this year has just gone ridiculous. It's far too complicated and nothing like what it used to be. X Factor changed their audition process but everything else remained the same unlike scd which has tried changing far too many things this year

16 couples is far too many.

The same couples doing two dances in one week - the FIRST week - and two of those dances being a tango and a rumba. What the hell? Those dances are far too difficult to be performed well in week one.

And no Arlene. I'm sorry, I think Alesha is a gret performer and no disrespect to her but Arlene was such a huge part of scd.

It's just got ridiculous this year. It's clear the beeb don't care about it as a dancing programme if not they wouldn't have made such appauling decisions.

Ok as a newbie to the show, I thought the first 2 shows were excellent.

Don't give a stuff about the judges, particularly Craig and Len. They can sod off particularly with their voting this evening.

Perhaps I'm just stuck in my ways - lol - I've watched the show from series 1 show 1 and really don't like how everything has been changed over the years and this year, for me, seems to be a culmination of it all and I really don't like what it's become, which is such a shame because i love watching the dancing and the pros but i feel that the essence of the show is being ruined by the producers.

You are not as I feel exactly the same way how they completely knackered it up this year and I won't be watching much longer if Alesha Dixon stays on the panel.

So you wont be watching at all, then - as she isn't going anywhere. She has a contract for the series.

Craig and Len are the best judges imo.

I also think it has a lot to do with the really poor calibre of celebrities this year. Its really saying something when at good proportion of the dancers are now significantly more famous than the celebs!.
We seem to have a batch of total z listers who have either been dropped, left, been in 'Axed' programmes, or been in previous reality shows. SCD used to get to some extent the cream of the crop, but now, the best they can get is pretty poor. Craig kelly for example has only been around 5 minutes and unless you are a Corrie fan would have no idea who he is...

Is this a sad reflection of a show in decline!? (I really hope not). In the past they have had some well known contestants - Kelly Brook, Stephanie Beaucham, Emma Bunton blah blah...
This year the selection is really poor. Fingers crossed, its money related and they manage to pull it out the bag next year.

Funny, I know Craig Kelly from Queer as Folk, I didnt even know he was in Corrie.

And what the hell has KB done apart from look pretty on the arm of a bald hollywood has-been. Oh that's right, she badly hosts a little-watched small channel dance show once a year and makes soft-porn films (as her latest is described).

I don't watch Corrie, so had no idea Craig Kelly was in it. I do, however, remember him vividly from Queer As Folk although it was shown rather more than 5 minutes ago.

I had no idea he was in that! But there you go... KB might not have won many awards, but she has been around for years and is pretty well known... they were just examples anyway... overall, i just think its a pretty poor group compared to previous years

I recently watched both S1 and S2 on the "On Demand" thingy. A real treat, the humour hadnt aged at all. Unfortunately, I couldnt say the same for me, I found myself tutting at the amount of nudity despite thoroughly enjoying it 10 years ago

Watched it, loved it.

A wide selection of celebs, knowns and unknowns, with the ones you thought wouldn't be much cop surprising everyone and the favourites turning out rubbish - check

A mixed panel of judges, issuing both bitchy comments and kind ones - check

Dodgy frocks, pretty frocks and unintentionally hilarious singing - check

Brucie and Tess - check

Likeable and awesomely talented professional dancers - check

Forums where the irate and the enthralled can air their views ad infinitum - check

Nothing to complain about from where I'm sitting!
