Do DVD Players play blue ray disks and output in SD

Do DVD Players play blue ray disks and output in SD

No, a DVD player can't read a BluRay disc, it's a completely different thing - basically different lasers, and a DVD player doesn't have a laser of the correct wavelength (BluRay has both, so it can read both).

Blu-Ray players can play DVDs but not the other way round
