I can't see the remix of New york doing well. I haven't heard but it's a crime they have remixed a beautiful song like that. I'm sorry but you don;t do that. I could understand if they remixed Stone cold sober.

I just saw on Wikipedia that Eliza Doolittle is supporting Paloma on her upcoming tour, I wish I was going now but I did see her in June.

I'm a huge fan of Paloma but this 'New York 2010' remix, I really can't see it doing well in the charts sadly

It's out Sunday I think and sadly I think that will flop but to be fair, Paloma has only promoted it once apparently and there's no new video. It was bound to happen.

Surprises all round... New York (original mix) is at #67 on iTunes right now and the album is at #12. It seems the re-release did her good, will be keeping an eye on it this week.

Glad it is helping her album sales. I saw an advert for it this morning while watching Top model so maybe that could of helped push sales as i have ever seen an advert for her album.

It's great news. i really cannot think why the album would go back up because 'new york' (the rap version) hasn't been sung live or had a video once. So yeah must be the advert.

New York is number 61 on itunes and the shit (palomas folloing the crowd version) is at 100.

Would be nice for the original to climb in to the top 40.

I agree Red Blooded. It's weird because New york wasnt a huge hit but most people i know remember her as "oh she is the one that sings that new york song".

Just downloaded the new bundle:

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/new...ep/id382056672

Had to do it because it's Paloma Plus a HQ recording of 'new york' live from the BBC prom thingy.

Bad news turns into good news

New york re-release may have flopped but

Her album has zoomed from 41-15. She should soon be heading for 300k going platinum.

Oooh that's really good. I think the album sales are more successful than singles tbh. Must mean overall all the songs are rather good. I love the album

I agree. Plus i like those type of albums that are not big sellers from the first week of sale but gain more exposure and sales as months go by. Paloma is an example of this. She won't be dropped. She isn't easily marketable or appealing like Pixie lott for instance who came out the same time as her. So they can't expect her to have huge sales like JLS with a 400k debut single and an album selling 1 million. She will be successful but won't have huge high sales.

Her album has passed 300,000, it's now platinum.

Isn't she doing well at the moment I got home from holiday to see her in the top 10 albums on iTunes, still! Number 6 as we speak, I have no idea what has bought on this burst of sales but I am chuffed to bits for her

It's great isn't it!? I was proper happy so that means she surely is secure on her record label for atleast a year or 2. I think it could be the fact she did a few festivals and performed 'new york' on a few TV shows. Which reminds me, she's on shooting stars tomorrow night at 9.30 on bbc2

So glad her album has sold over 300k. I'm sure her label satisfied with that
