Go for Sony LCD, they may be a little expensive, but they will last longer. And the quality is very good too.
I have my doubts about the long term viability of Plasma though. |

I agree Sony are by far the best make of tv out there. As has been said they may be a bit more expensive than other makes but they are worth it imo.

3" bigger than what you are looking for, but it's 1080p for less than £700. It even has THX calibration mode.
Ignore the brand - I've had one for nearly 4yrs and it's been a great TV. This set seems to be a very good going by the praise it gets on AVForums. http://www.avforums.com/forums/plasm...00-thread.html There is a live review on site if you are interested. LG 50PS3000 |

Oh Er, What have you done
I feel a plasma / lcd thread coming on.... with a bit of back lit led/lcd thrown in. Not to mention how far you are from the screen for the 720/1080 debate and what source you going to watch....... ![]() Me I'd go for a Plasma, and probably Panasonic or LG ... but the back lit LED/LCD's look nice but I think there over budget. Anyway, let the flaming begin ![]() Edit. The post above this one.. thats a nice telly
