Compact V or iPhone 3Gs.. advice/opinions

New phone time and I've narrowed it down to these 2.

Price is not the issue here, I have been offered deals for both phones that I am happy with.

Had a WM device for a while, so tempted to change.

I'm pretty familiar with what the Compact V offers, but what am I missing that I will benefit from on the iPhone and vice versa.

One feature that is important for me is the landscape virtual keyboard. Tried it on the iPhone and surprisingly impressed, can't get hold of a Comfort V to try it though.

Any thoughts on these phones appreciated as I've read nothing but good reviews about them both.

I've has an iPhone 3G for 6 months. Got the compact V yesterday. In a few days I will be able to give you a good comparison.
