Nokia Care UK phoneline

I'm in the unfortunate position of wanting to contact the above Nokia helpline. Unfortunately, this is essentially impossible. I've tried 6 times in the past few days and each time I am told that there is an extremely long wait and it would be best to phone back later. No indication of the length of the delay; no indication of the number of people in the queue.

The reason given is simply pathetic; they have so many new phones that large numbers of people are trying to contact them. Really? We're in the middle of the largest recession for years and, against all the trends, Nokia are selling such vast numbers of new phones in the UK that their helpline is being overwhelmed! What an insult to our intelligence.

So, is there any way of actually speaking to anyone at Nokia Care UK; a best time, perhaps? I've tried saynoto0870 but using the geographic number listed there simply gets you transferred to the 0845 number.

Finally, is this typical of Nokia? Do they really have such a couldn't-care-less attitude to their customers? If so, it's the last time that I will ever buy a Nokia phone.

Nokia have sold huge numbers of phones recently, so its perfectly valid reason for them to give. Why not email them, I did yesterday afternoon and had a response this morning.

I emailed them last Saturday and still have not had a response. However I sent the message from their site and there was no indication whether it had been successfully sent or not. Do you have an email address that I can use from OE?

No, I used the contact form on the Nokia site. I got an immediate acknowledgement and a response less than 12 hours later. Last time I contacted them it took slightly longer but it was still next day.

When you submit the form, you should get a thank you screen. If you didn't get that, it could be a browser/connection problem.

EDIT; Form submitted, acknowledgement sent 15.29 on 22/9/9. Actual answer received 2.20am 23/9/9

Who did you have to kill to get a response so quickly?

Seriously, I also used the contact form on their website, got the thank you page - but no reply since, and that's been well over a week.

Last time I used their contact form it still took a few days for a response, but was much quicker than this time.

I don't remember any acknowledgement when I used the contact form so it looks like it didn't get through. I'll pay careful attention next time.

I've actually solved the immediate problem by using one of the Nokia forums so I'll not need to make any further attempts at the moment.

Anyway, thanks for the replies.

Have you checked your spam folder? Otherwise I would chase them up. They won't want a bad mark when you do the satisfaction survey.

No, nothing there. I'm coming to the conclusion that I somehow didn't manage to send it, in which case I won't be getting a satisfaction survey. If I do, then as I now don't need to ask a question, I won't be spitting fire.
