BT Vision Line Speeds?
I'm after someones help with the line speed requirements for BT Vision. I tried ordering BTV some time ago and was told my line speed does not support it. I regulary check my speeds and it varies throughout the day from 1.5 mbps to 5 mbps...but averages at about 3.5 - 4. the website is now allowing me to order BTV as my line (after some interferances was removed by me) must now support it but I wondered during the peak times will the BTV service suffer, I'm not 100% sure how the system works so wondered if someone could advise if my system will work when my line is running slower or just my service will be degraded. Difference between buying or not....thanks.

The important bit is your sync speed. If it syncs consistantly above 2meg then you'll be fine for BTVision. During peek periods QOS (Quality Of Service) will ensure that you're BTVision streams are unaffected by congestion or other devices on your network.
Any more questions just fire away sir. |

You should find it on the front page of your Home Hub web interface.
I think the IP address is 192.168.1.254 On the front page it might also be called something different to sync speed - maybe downstream connection speed. I cant remember as I'm at work and havent looked at mine for months lol !. Let me know what you find out. |
