What a load of rubbish that story is, she'll have a new album in the next two or three years like every other artist.

I doubt it'll be forever. I can see her returning again in a few years. Wasn't a fan of her music personally but '22' was catchy enough.

I hope this isnt true, i really like Lily even thought a lot of people dont, i suppose that she isnt as popular as she was, she was unique in her day but then people copied her like Kate Nash, Adelle etc.

I hope this is true personally. Allen has made hints in the past

She has done really well for herself and to have two successful albums under her belt and then retire, you might as well retire.

I am glad i will get to see her in concert in November before she leaves the music world.

I can see her returning to it. Hard to take anything she says seriously tbh.

She got a #1 album this year, 'The Fear' was #1 for three weeks and 'Not Fair' was in the Top 40 for weeks and weeks. She's done pretty well, probably better than the first album?

She is relatively known in American which is good compared to people who do Soul Music or Soppy ballads to get big in America. Not that Soul and Soppy ballads are a bad thing but look at the long line of successful british females in America, hardly any of them are Pop dance music.

I wonder if she will now follow up her interest in Graham Onions?

I took it to mean that she just wasn't interested in making money from it anymore. I could be wrong though!

I suppose I'm one of the few who is disappointed by this news. Still, at least we still have her two albums.

It's been confirmed by her management that she's not quitting but she won't be releasing anything for a while.

I sense a second series of Lily Allen and Friends

How long is a while? We waited just under three years for her second album.

Speaking of which Amy MacDonald's follow up album 'Och Aye The Noo There's a Moose In Ma Hoose' is scheduled to be released in 2010
