Pacific 1001 dvd player

Hi there,
I have had my Pacific 1001 dvd player a few years and still in good working order. I can't find my instructions booklet any where.
I was told this dvd player is a region free player and can play any region dvd"s.
Is there anyone who knows or has one and can tell me uf this is true or false.

Usually you have to make them region free via the remote but this model appears to be already region free from new:

I have just found on the dvd player remore under the setting, that pal, ntsc and multi region is listed, so I would assume that I can play any dvd"s.
